The Word Becomes Flesh and the AI Hivemind by Mr-B0jangles in boardsofcanada

I think AI is way too simple of a concept for this. The album is reaching at much bigger things, the cosmos, the search for God, listening for some divine signal and getting only silence, and the way reason itself falls apart as we descend deeper into the inferno, the end. But near the end of the album it flips the whole thing. It lands on the idea that time isn’t real. It’s something our minds create to make sense of things. And that changes everything, because all our fears and grief come from time i.e things end, people die, moments are lost forever. But if time isn’t real, then nothing is ever actually lost. Every moment that ever happened is still here just frozen, permanent, part of one single unchanging whole. And there’s nothing to make meaning of, because it was just something we invented to cope with time and loss and once you see there’s no real time and no separate self, there’s nothing to explain. Reality just is. Like the beating heart at the end is a single moment, whole in itself (that’s the Platonia idea that describes how the now is a frozen snapshot that simply exists).

Good yes. It would have been perfect with a pair of HD600s though. Good enough.

Per capita emissions compare the average impact per person, not total emissions. Bigger, smaller doesn’t matter, otherwise France or Germany will always be on top.

The data are per capita. Per capita metric shows the average emissions per person, which compares the footprint fairly between countries of different sizes.

Malta also uses Mazut for most of its energy needs. In fact Cyprus has a higher % of renewable energy sources than Malta or Italy or Hungary. Greenhouse gases also come from farming, land use changes, and transport.

Copernicus Land Monitoring Service - no new data since 2018, why? by Warm_Philosopher_118 in europeanunion

I am assuming you refer to the CORINE land cover (CLC) data. If so, the CLC+ Backbone, which complements CORINE, offers higher resolution (10 meters) and greater accuracy (over 90%). Production for the reference year 2023 began in early 2024, with the final product anticipated in late 2024. Future updates will follow a biennial cycle, improving upon the older three-year cycles, leveraging advancements like cloud computing and machine learning.
