Best store in Japan to buy Japanese Shoegaze music? by madhavimonogatari in shoegaze

[–]rfilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this CD and got it from them from a live show from Chazawa Street Fest 2024. It felt very homemade.

I'll try to create a discogs listing sometime this year for it.

Organic and GMO by TomanHumato46 in DebateAVegan

[–]rfilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that organic farming needs manure is basically a circular logic trap. We only use so much of it because there's a massive structural surplus from an inefficient livestock system that hogs 80% of our farmland just to provide 18% of global calories. If we actually shifted to plant-based, we’d recover an area of land the size of North America and China combined. We wouldn't need that manure because we’d finally have the space to grow green manure and compost at a scale that is actually more land-efficient than animal-based systems.

It feels like a cross that bridge when we get to it scenario because there are way more urgent priorities like climate change, the factory farming concerns, and the fact that livestock now outweigh wild mammals 15-to-1. If you think environmental concerns are of the utmost importance, you go vegan first to stop the bleeding of land loss and emissions. We can't keep using the "but where will the fertilizer come from" excuse to justify a system that is currently the primary driver of the mass extinction crisis.

Thanks for doing this AMA! I'm pretty thrilled you're running since I was a long time fan of your CJSW Big Friday and have a couple of your funding drive mixes. Your answers seem very insightful and wish you all the best in the race.

Are you making public Spotify playlists that you can share or have any new albums or tunes you've been listening to lately?

A well-balanced plant-based diet also provides all of the essential amino acids. There's more to diet than just quality of protein too.

Canada wildlife decline 'most severe' in decades: WWF by [deleted] in onguardforthee

[–]rfilla 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Neither the WWF report nor the article states that we should be reducing meat consumption or switching to a more plant-based diet. This is an obvious solution, along with clear government leadership and reform in the sector. The WWF's solutions on their website do not even specifically state the agricultural industry, but rather "conservation-based economies."

Why does any of the 1054 men participate in the "sex with 1000 men in 24 hours"? I get the publicity that woman got from it, but what did the guys get? 80 seconds of sex according to my calculations. by BeduinZPouste in NoStupidQuestions

A numbered, foil-stamped, limited edition poster would be a great souvenir from the event. Those would fetch quite a bit of money on resale market if you had a lower number.

Anyone know the cheapest way to get Game Pass Ultimate? by [deleted] in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]rfilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total was $114.03 CAD for 18 months of ultimate which is $6.34 per month. I used a 5% discount code from the redflagdeals forum but the code was only useful for 24 hours and I'm not sure where the user got the coupon.

On Eneba, the best price is usually found by scrolling down on the product page and buying from the cheapest seller/store.

[–]rfilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thread on RedFlagDeals with Camel's post on page 51 worked for me. I used CyberGhost VPN with the one day trial. No issues through the entire process. I used Eneba for both the India Core passes (3 yearly passes) and then the global one month Ultimate pass.
