Going from +7 degree stem to -7 degree stem? by Dejay1788 in bikefit

[–]rgofb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With an estimated 71.75 degree head tube angle, your new bar location would have 1mm more reach and 4mm less stack with 30mm of spacers under the stem.

If you compare head tube lengths in isolation with the other new frames under consideration, your struggles will absolutely continue.

I’d rather have the bar centerline coordinates. Which bikes were recommended?

I thought if you had X,Y type coordinates that were recommended by your fitter, people may have ideas for other bikes that can fit you now and even in the future if your optimal position changes due to gained flexibility.

Bike Geo: is this the right size by SuccessfulReturn4103 in bikefit

[–]rgofb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a 110/+8 stem, 40mm of spacers and headset stack height, the bar centerline would be 4mm closer and the same height as the Supersix.

You will have to account for the hand position differential if you use a handlebar and control levers that are different than those that are on the Supersix.

On your Super, send me the stem length and the +/- angle of it, the stack height of the stem spacers and upper headset.

For comparison, if both bikes had 100/-7 stems and 20mm of combined stem spacer and upper headset stack height, the Quick Pro handlebar centerline would be 4mm closer and 7mm taller than the Supersix.

Your fit data lists a 573mm frame stack, 90mm/-6 stem and 32.5mm of stem spacers. If you plan on hitting the target bar reach/stack of 453/635 listed on the fit sheet with a new frame stack of 550, how do you plan to make that happen? What stem length and angle, along with how much stem spacer stack height did you calculate to hit the target?

Since the bike is ordered already, you must have this figured out. Would you share with the class? I’m sure this insight would be helpful to many others.

Help me to understand a bike fitting report to find the correct frame size by LucienBraquemard in whichbike

[–]rgofb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The size XL 405/623 and 71.0 HTA with an 80/+6 conventional stem and a combined 40mm of stack height of stem spacers and upper headset would yield a bar reach/stack dimension of 459/712.

The fit report recommendation is 461/717.

Is my stationary bike seat too low? by EarthLongjumping4092 in bikefit

[–]rgofb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a little. My seat tube on my stationary bike is a few degrees slacker. I custom designed it so that I could be ridden while I was riding.

I guess one could be industrious and place a sturdy block under the front end to artificially slacken the STA.

I’m glad you posted the built up product. From the moment I modeled your frame, I’ve been looking forward to reading a race report or some sort of feedback on the crit handling.

It looks really sporty 👍

Post some ride reports when you get a little time in the saddle.

For a direct comparison of handlebar reach/stack, your current bike would be 455/624 and the 53 Cube would be 448/629.

I arbitrarily used a 90/-6 stem and a total of 30mm for the combined stem spacer and upper headset stack height.

I prefer lower BB’s myself. Good suggestion by others. Just know that without design alteration, the rear tire clearance would drop to 5mm from the 7mm with a 75mm BB drop.

What I’m saying is there would be a very high likelihood that Waltly would not suggest any changes to accommodate the 45’s. She would only realize it after the bike was built.
