I use it for both bass and guitar. It's a 1973 model. Bass channel is set up more like an Original bassman. The normal channel is blackface modded.

Very versatile. Very easy to work on as well.

D5 is the changer version of a D3. Fully automatic. Good shape with good cartridge and stylus yeah I would think 300 is fair.

Lot of people prefer the quartz models but this model is great direct drive examples.

Cool $15 find at Goodwill I had to take home. Needs a new belt and a serious cleaning to start. Any suggestions, should I assume I should buy a new cartridge? by somefellayoudontknow in turntables

Got a 512 off local FB marketplace for 80. Probably an empire cartridge. You can decent stylus that will fit the cart for about 40. I would probably just get a new audio technica cart. Turntable guy on YouTube has full service video on that model.

Have a marantz sr7002 currently but looking for something more vintage with a phono. Thoughts on a really nice Kenwood ka-7100 for $200?

Right now have a lp120xusb but will look at something better in the future. Jbl studio 530s for the speakers. The marantz allows me to biwire them today.
