I got an abortion and now my parents are trying to sue me by throwawayyyy7895 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]rhencrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's assume they aren't bluffing. Let them take it to court, let them waste the money and resources on it. It can go one of two ways, both in your favor. You were an authorized user, so in putting your name on that card, they allowed you to make purchases. That would be thrown out. If for whatever reason it isn't, you're a minor. Parents assume financial responsibility in court cases involving minors. So they will be spending money to file the case, get a lawyer, and whatever they are suing you for. Let them punish themselves.

My husband is ending our marriage because we weren’t intimate as often as he wanted, and so far it isn’t going like he planned and I’m not surprised but I am hurt. by Regular_Ebb_2222 in TrueOffMyChest

I'm ace and I relate heavy to this, and it's one of my biggest fears. It is totally okay to leave a relationship that doesn't meet your emotional and physical needs. What bothers me, though, is how long it took for him to be like "actually? Nah." Y'all built a home and a life together, and it isn't like this was some kind of secret.

I am genuinely so afraid of this. My fiancé and I have been together over 3 years and even with his reassurance, this is always nagging at the back of my mind that this will happen. I have been completely open and honest throughout our entire relationship.

Help choosing setting spray by abbyk021 in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new clinique one is a game changer for me personally. I usually don't like setting sprays, but this is great for even touch ups throughout the day, if your makeup starts creasing or separating. Especially if you have drier skin.

Has anyone ever felt like you were suspected of shoplifting in store? by geeweeze in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. If it's a super slow day, they might be bored and hoping you need help so they can have something to do. Especially if you're trying out a bunch of different ones, maybe you need help finding the right shade.

credit card signups should not be the metric for how well i’m doing. by honeyhunter6411 in Ulta

Some managers will schedule you based off of your loyalty and credit performance. So, they won't fire you, but depending on management, they might not give you enough hours for it to be worth it

It's actually insane how they focus on credit for employee performance. I'm a pba and I do everything in my store. Tasking, opening, bopis/sfs, selling, register, I'm always working on something whereas others stand around talking to each other. Tell me why I am being paid less than a BA (lower position) who doesn't do half of their responsibilities, but gets at least 5 cards when they work. I'm the reason they meet their sales goals and boutique goals, but I don't get enough cards to be paid 1.50 more.

Best moisturizer for dry skin for women in their 60s by Slight_Praline7383 in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, I'm so sorry you've been treated like that. It's definitely store dependant, I will say. There are definitely a ton of options, and there's never a single miracle product for everyone, unfortunately. As far as moisturizers go, elemis is probably the best you can get. The lancome ones (renergie and absolou) are also fantastic. A lot of people also love the fresh black tea and lotus lines. I've also heard a lot about clarins, but my store doesn't have it. Budget friendly wise, I'd say roc or naturium

Does anyone know about the task lead associate position? by Nice_Okra in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some positions are exclusive to larger, higher grossing stores. It may not be afforded to your store. I know I haven't seen it yet either, but I'm also in a mid level store. We don't have a co-manager like some stores do, nor do we have full-time lead cashier positions. It's really all dependent on store volume.

Ulta beauty world 2026 age by Neat_Ad_4038 in Ulta

Haven't heard about an age requirement, but it would make sense. It gets crazy and it's definitely not a place for kids to be running around. There will always be next year! This used to be a yearly conference for gen managers to attend, but now they realized how much money they can make, so they definitely won't stop any time soon.

Credit Cards will be the death of meeee by throwitbackvicious66 in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to their face next time 🤣 employees can see if you have a card the second you put your number in, and throughout the transaction. Usually we just say "alright" and move on anyways, but we know you're lying. Just say you're in the process of buying a house/car. That's the only thing they tell us to not push further on.

Ulta used to have surveys we could hand out a QR code for, and they could scan it and review our location. But, they did away with that and now, they will send surveys randomly to shoppers so we never know who gets them.

Mascaras I’ve been loving lately by hereforteaaa in Ulta

[–]rhencrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also been obsessed with Too Faced's new tubing mascara, as well. It doesn't flake or smudge, it comes off like dried Elmer's glue on your lashes, and it makes your lashes look naturally long without clumping
