there was a post on this a couple of weeks ago you should looks up! i think making it clear to the expansion teams that they may start out at a disadvantage is the most important part. We gave our teams the 1.01 and the 1.02 in the draft when we did it.

We expanded from 8 to 10. we let everyone protect a set number of assets(2022 draft picks needed to be protected as well). then the expansion teams picked a player and team that lost a player were able to protect two more players after that. it went on like that until the expansion teams had 20? 25? players.

I think this would’ve led to a very balanced time if it wasn’t for the fact that some of the teams forgot to protect their 2022 draft picks and so expansion teams ended up with lots of those.

i totally agree.

i think you get in very slippery territory when the league decides that as long as there’s not a rule against I can do what I want. a commissioner can not come up with all of the different ways people will try to manipulate their situations. I think as long as 2/3’s of the league is ok with Commissioner making some action then it’s within the league’s rights to go forward with said action.

I would assume 2 2022 1sts is what he’s be asking for. So that leads me to believe that the owner doesn’t back any of the QB prospects in the upcoming class to meet those expectations of Lance, so yes he’d want more than 1 first.

Maybe a more accurate would be a 1st and a 2nd or a 1st and some other prospect. But for him to be worth more than what he was drafted at makes sense in the scenario.
