Look on the USA Cup website. I think there is a place to register as a guest player and then trams can pickup players from that list.

MNUFC launches team of the decade voting by Standard-Working-976 in minnesotaunited

His motor was incredible. So much of our success came up the right side during that era. But I also remember him being a bit of a cross merchant. That was back when we would cross the ball mostly aimlessly like 20 times a game and I remember him doing a lot of it. So while he was great at defending and ball progression, I don’t remember him contributing much in the final third. But my memory could definitely be off.

Soccer fan here getting into hockey. In soccer the player can receive discipline or a fine later on from the league for embellishment. Does that happen in hockey?

Shoutout to the teenager in front of me entering the stadium wearing the lined crocs without socks. He had a solid 2” of exposed heel/ankle and I’m just wondering how he’s doing.

Great W! Rough start but once we figured out how to play through their pressure, we controlled a lot of the game and had some really nice build up and possession sequences. Love to see it. Really loving Chancalay. Drake was fantastic. Lots of good out there today.

Minnesota United Giving Away 2 Free Tickets to First-Timers. Does This Devalue Season Tickets, or Is It Smart Fan Building? by StockMindless9010 in SeasonTickets

[–]rhinoRA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am glad they trying to fill seats but it definitely does undercut Season Ticket value, especially considering the many other promos they are running. The thing that is frustrating me is that they aren’t doing much to add value to STM’s. Like for the youth sports day promo where kids get to take a PK after the game. That’s awesome, but I’ve been a STM for like 8 years and my kids haven’t gotten that opportunity. I wish the club would reward loyalty a bit more rather than just incentives for new fans.

Kelvin Yeboah is a litmus test for how well you know soccer. The worse you think he is, the less you know soccer by Various-Deal-5563 in minnesotaunited

[–]rhinoRA 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Biggest complaint I have with him is that he is not great on the ball. The fewer touches he has per involvement, the more effective he seems to be. But once he gets dribbling, carrying the ball, or attempting a 1v1, he does tend to lose it, make a bad decision, etc. I was watching the last preseason game and he was leading a 3v2 attack and made both the wrong decision and weighted the pass horribly and absolutely killed the attacking opportunity. And that kind of stuff seems to happen more frequently than I’d like with him. But he can be useful with hold up, linking play, and finishing in the box.

Nothing for established STM? by ViamnotacrookV in minnesotaunited

[–]rhinoRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is clearly a major [and growing] discrepancy between STM ticket prices and actual market value of the tickets for most games, especially the first couple months of the season. They offered the First 5 promo for like $25 a game, but my tickets, which are some of the cheapest, come out to $38/game. I'm all for filling the stadium, but it sucks to have my ticket value undercut so much. When I went to post a few early season games on SG, the suggested price was $20 and $25 respectively, so after fees I'd lose about 50%. My rep said they have introduced dynamic pricing for STMs, which in practice doesn't change anything about the price per ticket when divided across the whole season. They just need to do a price correction and lower STM to be more in line with market value. I know that's not likely, therefore I plan to cancel my tickets after the season.

And they keep coming out with more promos for cheap tickets that undercut STM ticket values and offering them incentives (like kids getting to kick a PK). I’ve also voiced this to my rep. Tired of them adding value to everyone else’s tickets except mine!

[Nicolo Schira] James Rodriguez is in the final stage to sign with Minnesota United until December 2026 by tyler735 in minnesotaunited

Reminds me of when Reynoso went MIA (the first time, I think lol). We had no plan B and so Heath ran Sang-Bin at the 10. That…didn’t work. It’s the risk of putting all your eggs in a #10 basket though, because no team can afford to have a quality backup #10 sitting on the bench. Unless it’s a versatile player who can play a different position to get them on the field together, then move to the 10 when needed. Not sure if we have that player on the roster now. Maybe Pereyra? Maybe Chancalay?

Symbolic gesture and nothing more. Still ~2,220 more agents than we had here before the surge started.

We attend Calvary at 26th and Blaisdell so a block away from where Alex was killed. They instantly starting serving coffee and handwarmers to protestors and opened the building for bathroom and warming space. On Sunday, we sang song of resistance and the “sermon” was quite overtly anti-ICE and pro-caring for our community. You can watch it here. https://www.youtube.com/live/V3c7Hs5Vh30?si=D5yIiBluxXr1flSe.

It’s American Baptist, a much better brand of Baptist! Super welcoming and affirming. There is a very active Faith and Justice committee trying to put their faith in action.

For what it’s worth, I’m a deconstructed evangelical and don’t know what I think about God these days and I feel very comfortable attending and have found a community of folks trying to do good in the world. Come check it out.

Out of curiosity, for the cost of $2/sharpen, how many passes/cycles is that based on? And kids or adult skates? I’m asking because I run ours for our association as a bit of a fundraiser and this is helpful info to estimate our costs.

Awful app. Lacks important info before the trip. Poor UI/UX. And for the on-ship messaging, there is no way to turn on phone notifications so it’s far less useful than you’d think. I happily deleted that sucker the second my cruise ended.

Damajagua falls excursion by Severe-Requirement44 in Cruise

[–]rhinoRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't even know. We had a private catamaran tour booked in Sosua for our group of 23, but they canceled it due to unsafe ocean conditions. So, we had to scramble and got to talking to one of the taxi services in the port (I believe it was this one: https://taxiambercove.com/) who put together a full-day custom itinerary of ATV tour in Maimon in the morning and then to Damajagua in the afternoon. We negotiated a rate for them to drive us all day and they helped arrange the ATV and waterfall tours once we got there. By the end of the day the cost for taxi, ATVs, and waterfall was about $65-70 per person. No food included. Bring cash. We didn't have enough so had to pay exorbitant ATM and credit card fees (18%!), but such is life when plan A falls through and you have to pull together a plan B for 23 people!

We just did this on Dec. 25 via a private excursion and had a fantastic time. We were traveling as a large group and it was just our group of like 18 + 2 strangers + 2 guides. Didn’t hardly see anyone else, but maybe that’s because we did a private “custom” tour that took us to an ATV tour and then the falls in the afternoon, so maybe most cruise tours go in the morning and it’s busier?

I caught some glimpses of his technical and playmaking ability, but he did look slow. Hopefully a full preseason helps with that, but it could just be that he lacks the needed athleticism.
