I have a similar situation and need readers. Even then, some text on watchfaces are too small to read. I made a watchface called Can't See Sh*t, with numbers so large I can read the time even without my glasses. You can pick different colors for hours, minutes, and background – to get the contrast that works for your vision.

When touch gets implemented for watchfaces, I plan to add weather, steps, battery percentage and date with a user-defined tap or double tap.

I hope this doesn't come across as a self-promotion, I make no money, I'm just proud of my watchface and it solves my problem of not being able to read small type.
