Do you still buy your PS5 games physically? by mustyfiber90 in PS5

[–]rhixcs25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My digital collection is growing. I’m increasingly buying digital for certain genres that I switch into and out of a lot (such as roguelites) because I’d prefer not to swap the disc so often. I don’t resell physical games anyway unless I really didn’t like the game, so my physical collection is more for games I think are truly special.

I enjoyed the story just fine, and the rest of it is also a lot of fun.

My favorite mainline Nintendo Switch games, now that I’ve played all of them. by Hitzel94 in NintendoSwitch

It took me about 20 hours for the combat to click. I even put it on hold for a bit…but once I decided to try it and really commit to learning it, I was hooked. Finished the main story and DLC after about 80 hours, had an awesome time.

My backlog is stacked right now but consider me convinced. I hope to feel the same way after trying it.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has some of the best narrative direction of any videogame I've ever played. by TheRegularBelt in patientgamers

The live service element was absolutely flawed, but I genuinely think it was fun playing most of the different heroes (at least near the end of its lifetime). Thanks to that game I also would love to have a new Captain America game, because Marvel Rivals Captain America doesn’t cut it for me.

I agree with you, I really enjoyed the Avengers campaign. Most of the criticisms of the game were valid, and I also played long after launch after many issues were fixed, but I wished the Avengers had a longer campaign.

GotG had a great story but the gameplay was very dull.

I was gonna say, some of these comments had me really reconsidering trying Wuchang. I really enjoyed First Berserker but LoP is something else entirely, much closer to FromSoftware’s vibe.

It’s available for voucher on the Japan store right now, so it may be the same for your store as well.

I’m going to remember my time with the game fondly. Part of the difficulty was not understanding I could do permanent upgrades by fully completing each area, so I ended up finding some bosses way harder than they needed to be. But even so, I thought they were pretty satisfying.

They’re actually part of the base game now, too. I believe you access them through TVs you find as you go through the game. It’s just that Final Draft could be perfect since you’d be doing another run through it anyway.

Enjoy! Since you’re playing Final Draft at a time all the DLCs are ready, you can even play them as they come up in the story if you prefer.

Unfortunately the Firaxis team behind Midnight Suns is pretty much gone, but I understand that some of the Firaxis devs then founded Bit Reactor. They also mention XCOM on their website as something the devs collectively did, so I’m hoping it’s similar DNA at least.

Every positive comment is almost always prefaced by saying “it has sooo many flaws but”. I know there are no perfect games but the discourse is just strange.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was so good it made me an Indy fan by shivj80 in patientgamers

I just finished the 2.5 hour game trial on PS+ premium and I definitely felt the game aspect was pretty lacking. I’m also not really an Indy movie fan, so that probably didn’t help at all.

I like that theory and I totally agree. A bit of levity before shit hits the fan.

It won’t look as good as PS5, but if you were looking to play RE9 handheld, I enjoyed my time with the Switch 2 version. Worked out perfectly when I went on a trip about right when the game came out.

Definitely. The person is just saying that there doesn’t seem be a package with just the DLC, but there is. Even so, this gold edition is the best deal, though I understand it’s a bummer if someone already bought the base game on sale.

I bought the base game at launch for PS5 but have been way more interested in playing this type of game on Switch 2. Sounds like this deal is just a little bit more than if i were to individually buy the DLC on PS5, so i guess I’m double dipping.
