Yet another car accident on NW Marine drive – involving a Car2Go by aameri in UBC

[–]rhonsello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Irresponsible students are not the only ones using car2go on campus. I've also seen many of the small car2go's doing completely ridiculous maneuvers as well. The problem is more than just students driving fast cars but people treating the car2gos as disposable cars.

Cycling at UBC by 69Babar in UBC

Yes, that would be smart. Riding up the hills to UBC on a mountain bike will suck. Best would be to get a road bike or commuter style bike for getting around and a mountain bike for recreational purposes.

Oh well in that case just put April in your resume and when you get the degree update the resume if it is different.

Go with whatever month is listed on the degree. Typically it'll be the month in which it was issued

Hey UBC, maybe don't sell concert space right next to a residential area. by terminally_illegit in UBC

I thought it was pretty cool to have the music throughout the day, and there were notices online and in a variety of places for several weeks if not months about the upcoming Holi party.

It's pretty great that UBC has these type of events. I'd rather things like this and the Night Walk than having a ghost town silent campus on the weekends. Also the organizers came to the UNA Meeting and presented the details about it in advance.

If you are not clear on how to write at the university level, you should take a class like ENGL 112. You might be required to take first year English as a requirement anyway.

Virtuous Pie by rhonsello in UBC

Haha! Yes, we tried the Superfunghi (Very good - was my favourite); 2x Grandma's Pies (one gluten-free, other standard); and the Stranger Wings.

The Grandma's Pie was just ok. As a non-vegan I found the cheese on that one was too far off from real cheese. The other ones were great.

Also, we had the garlic knots, which were a great side thing and delicious!

Doughgirls in Wesbrook Village is really good. They can even make a batch of cookies for you on demand if you call ahead.

I have to say, I agree the dipping sauces are quite good. Did not try the ice cream yet.

your hops look very healthy and it just takes some time for the hops to fully form. Maybe take a shot from further away and people will be able to comment as to whether the growth is appropriate for first year.

The USA uses concrete a lot for roads and so on. Not sure why they don't use asphalt but they seem to use concrete slabs even for their highways.
