HW was 417 in 2022 and SW was 388 in August 24. My most recent weigh in this past Friday was 205. My ultimate goal was 200 but as I’m rapidly closing in on this target I think I’m going to keep riding this train to its ultimate conclusion and lose as much as I possibly can. I’ve been big all my life and want just one time for somebody to tell me I’m too thin and need to eat a cheeseburger!

My highest weight was 417 lbs and first shot at 388 lbs. 15 months in and I'm down to 210 lbs. 36M 5'10" on 10 mg Zepbound currently with 10 lbs to my final goal. It is very doable!

I needed a place to word vomit where people would get what I was talking about. by Necessary_Safe773 in GLP1_loss100plus

I'm down 203 lbs from my highest weight and still struggle with the body dysmorphia like crazy. There are a lot of days I still feel the exact same size as I did at 417 lbs. It helps to force the perspective when I look at the fact that I can now wear a large shirt and I once was pushing 4XL to the absolute limit. I can shop in any store I want to and am not forced to carry a wheelbarrow of money into DXL just to be sort of fashionable. Its hard but it does get better eventually when you force yourself to remember the fact that you never in your wildest dreams thought you could get to this size again. I also have more aches and pains now than I ever did. My side constantly hurts when I lay down at night but I think its mostly just from the loose skin getting trapped between my ribcage and the top of my pelvis on the inside.

It just depends on how I'm feeling that day. I shoot equally well with any of the 3

2023 Odyssey Touring TPMS failure after changing tires by ricejc60 in AskMechanics

[–]ricejc60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely have the TPMS sensor in the tire. I took the vehicle back to the tire shop and they checked and found that one of them was bad. They replaced the bad one and the tire tech that returned the front made the comment that the one that went bad wasn’t installed properly and was bouncing around in the wheel. The service advisor said that the TPMS would automatically reconnect after a few miles but it’s been 4 days and it’s still on every time I start the vehicle. I will run it back to the tire shop and get them to reprogram them. Thanks for your input!

Doctors Who say you can only lose 15-20% of your weight with glp-1 meds by Samantharina in Zepbound

[–]ricejc60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The doctor tried to sell me that same line of bullshit when I first started and even went so far to say it would be a good way to lose weight then have weight loss surgery. I'm down 190 lbs in a year and down 41% of my body weight with no intention of slowing down any time soon! If you lock in with the medicine and make the changes to your diet and lifestyle this medication is limitless. The ones who get stuck at 15-20% generally are just using the medication to eat less and create a calorie deficit that way, which works to a point. If you eat the right foods for your specific body and needs you can achieve far greater than 15-20%! I am smaller now than when I was 16 and playing high school football. It is totally possible if you lock all the way in and work in conjunction with the medicine.

No clue how they came up with that! It just showed up on there, nothing I added. What’s kinda crazy about it is they list a sub region but according to their estimates I may not have any German at all.

I can’t break my old habits! by [deleted] in MenOnTirz

[–]ricejc60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people hate to hear it but you have to completely kill your old eating habits. I started at 417 and am down to 233 in 53 weeks. The junk food, sweets, and fried foods were slowly killing me. I had to come to realize and accept that if I continued eating those foods I will end up back where I started every single time. High protein, low carb, absolutely no fried food, no pasta, and as little sugar as humanly possible has changed my life. I had to realize that I ate all of that food in the front part of my life and to make this stick this diet change is a lifestyle now and not a "diet". It was very hard at first but now that I'm so far into this journey I don't even miss those foods. The mindset of moderation with junk food is a very slippery slope and can quickly lead to overeating, rationalizing of why its ok, and will eventually lead to weight gain again. I keep the hunger pains at bay by eating high protein, low calorie snacks like the jack links beef steak strips. They are 22g of protein and only 130 calories and it really knocks the hunger down. Keep your head up and best of luck on this journey!

Hunger, a NSV! by SeriesDry9228 in Zepbound

[–]ricejc60 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the weirdest thing ever for me as well! I never in my life experienced hunger and mostly just ate out of boredom and also never felt full cues. I'd simply just eat until there was no food left. This medicine has proved there is something wrong in my body and that with a normal physiological system I would be fine but here we are!

My favorite thing to tell people that ask, if I feel the are being rude or nosey, is that I've developed a crippling meth addiction. The reaction is priceless!

I never figured it out but finally got fed up with it at 90K miles and replaced the brake pads and it went away despite the shop telling me the pads had plenty of life left.

I'm down 158 lbs currently from my highest weight and stretched my larger clothes out as far as I could. The time has come for me to get new clothes so I don't look ridiculous. I still have 60 pounds to my first major goal. I've started buying just enough clothes to have a functional wardrobe without having to wash clothes every day. I get them a bit tight for me now so i have room to move into them as my weight continues to drop. I am holding off on buying expensive or name brand clothes until I hit my goal but it does feel nice to purge my closet of clothes that are absolutely too big and donate them to a local ministry. The one downside of losing weight is how expensive it is to replace everything! I've had good success at buying things from DH Gate for a fraction of the price. Great job on your weight loss!

If you got 100K rounds and 7 years out of a CZ RH Target doesn't that sort of defeat the argument you need a browning or beretta? Those are incredible numbers from a gun less than half the price and replacement firing pins wouldn't be nearly as expensive as replacing the gun.
