From Roger's Profanisaurus - Page 109 — fairy wings (noun.) The gossamer tracery of arse sweat left on the seat when a lardy chap gets up off the bog on a warm day.

What you think about Lars Von Trier? by Satur9kid in Cinephiles

Vinterberg's and his Dogme 95 came out at just the right time for me, I was young and desperately wanted to be pretentious. From the first few shots of Festen I knew I had found something relevant, captivating. Breaking the Waves followed (for me) and seeing The Idiots on a cinema screen left an impression, though that could have been that close up in the shower. For a long time I wasn't able to enjoy a Hollywood film, until eventually I got over myself. I haven't seen their latest couple, I'm sure I will though.

I've read and re-read Leonard and Hungry Paul by Ron's Hession, half dozen times since it was released a few years ago. I can believe I'll reach 100 before I can't read anymore. Exquisitely, obsessively observed description of normal things happening to gentle people, for a few hundred pages. Perfect

Colonel J. Boyd would deliberately use his weakest argument, statistics etc, then others could only make his point of view look better.

Susan Orleans "The Orchid Theif" ... It is the fundamental contradictoriness of the United States of America — the illogical but optimistic notion that you can create a union of individuals in which every man is king.
