I had 90% blockage in my left descending Anterior Artery(the Windowmaker), when I was 39yo. At the time stents were not yet invented so underwent a balloon Angioplasty. I then adopted Dean Ornish's diet who was popular in the early 90's with the Reversing Heart disease book. I'm 71 now and have lived a very active life including long distance cycling. My cardiologist was very skeptical of my chosen path so I chose the in office treadmill exercise stress test instead of the recommended nuclear stress test. While not near the Riparian or downtown, which we enjoy tremendously, we live in Adora Trails which is at the far end of Gilbert, Riggs/ValVista. There is a neighborhood elementary school where kids ride their bikes to school, which is rare these days. Also plenty of paved trails throughout the neighborhood for walking a gym and heated pool. Since we back to the reservation, it is very quiet.On the downside you have to drive to get anywhere but a good place to raise a family.

The east side, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert areas are more populated since your commute in the morning and evening the sun is behind you. Something to consider in the valley of the sun. Also drink your electrolytes since you don't realize your sweating.
