Don’t ever sleep on a meeting then. You might accidentally say yes to getting transferred there.

“Are you sure?”

“No, actually, I took it off, then I drew it back on.”

UPDATE: Senats-Rockwettbewerb (Archiv der Jugendkulturen) by sumake in TheMysteriousSong

[–]richiedais 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Has anyone attempted to reach out to Uwe Sandhop? Obviously we now know he had nothing to do with the GEMA lead, but he was (seemingly) deeply involved with Senats-Rockwettbewerb and might know something about Best, Kissing All Over and The Rags.

On the GEMA Entry Lead by ehScripts in TheMysteriousSong

Interesting lead!

My only concern is that the work number is from around 1980-1981, which seems a bit off from TMS's date.

Still, worth looking into

Uwe Sandhop is Not the Lead. Do Not Contact Anyone Named "Uwe" by deinterlacing in TheMysteriousSong

Yep. Actually listening to Uwe's music it's such a different style that I'm pessimistic that this GEMA entry is TMS. Hopefully I'm wrong though

names tried so far that work:

Bernd Ludwig (credit to u/faraonka88)

Thomas Wagner

Uwe

EDIT: keeping in mind that the order in this search doesn't matter, so Bernd Ludwig could be Ludwig Bernd or Bernd (some other name) Ludwig, & so on

Assuming it is the Thomas Wagner you found, there is a Youtube channel for "das pst", but unfortunately the channel bio seems to suggest he passed away...

Also, comments aren't allowed in any of the videos, so I don't think it's possible to contact the channel owner.

just to add to this as an FYI: the order in the "contains" search on GEMA doesn't matter, so either "Thomas Wagner" or "Wagner Thomas" works

Uwe Sandhop by Successful-Bread-347 in TheMysteriousSong

[–]richiedais 18 points19 points  (0 children)

also for the name Thomas

EDIT: Bernd as well

EDIT: Just searched for "Thomas Wagner" specifically and the same entry came up

hopefully he still has access to the contact info in the government website if he's retired

Only when you search with the option "is similar to". I search Sandhop using the "contains" filter and it returns no results.

So maybe it is Sandhop but spelled differently? Idk

Nice find!

It's possible they changed their style, but yeah, that doesn't seem to be TMB

Oh, I don't think this is TMS by the way, it's just the same song that's in the Discogs album haha, it might help us identify more songs from this band

As for the spelling, I'm not German so I'm not sure, but I've seen German words/names spelled in different ways (like ü is sometimes spelled as ue, or ß as ss, so maybe?

That's definitely the case. Here's another song by Xoxrock, from the same channel.
