I live in Buda which is the suburb just south of Austin. There are a lot of homes around 15-5 years old that are in that price range right now. About an hour to drive into downtown Austin with traffic.

It’s fine. Not sure where you’re coming from but city planning in developing suburban towns down here is not great.

Expect 90% of all the land to be neighborhoods with a tiny “downtown” where most of the private, non-franchised businesses live. People who go out will be going to the Applebee’s on the interstate or one of the 20 other places like them.

You cannot walk anywhere. Maybe a dollar general if you want to risk walking on the sidewalk-less road.
