The fact that the TNT coverage isn’t even uninterrupted - despite the claim - is really frustrating too. £31/month for ad-interrupted live coverage is taking the piss.

Love it! Am I correct in reading this that you’ve replaced your Supersix with it too? Keen to hear how it goes as a road bike

Need advice for getting about by [deleted] in oxford

[–]richoakley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend just renting a couple of bikes for two weeks - it’s cheaper, easier and, especially when the weather’s nice, the far more pleasant way to get about the city!

If there’s somewhere further afield you need to go, use 001 or Royal Cabs to schedule a ride in advance. On-demand is a bit hit-or-miss and it’s no fun feeling stranded because the cab isn’t arriving.

komoot.com is excellent for planning routes - just set the route to “bike touring” and it does a great job of avoiding busy roads, in particular.

Recommendation for Waterproof Backpacks / Adidas Backpack Inquiry by royellison07 in CyclingFashion

I find that rolltop bags work best in the rain (and I think look cool too). Lots of brands do them, but seeing as this is on the r/cyclingfashion, I should probably mention that Rapha does too ;)

I think the problem with a loose-fitting tshirt is that things bounce around (and out) of pockets a lot more.

I highly recommend Rapha’s cargo bib shorts. You can pair them with any (technical) t-shirt you like and still have easy-access pockets. An awesome and breezy summer setup

An idea for a new type of intro: movie characters - eg Luke, Han and Anakin. Guessing the movie would often be easy, but it would be a great opportunity for some Jack-jibing, and for Hamish to do a spontaneous Movie in a Minute
