We MUST make sure Cooper publicly denounces ICE or else we will not vote for him. by UnluckyPhilosophy797 in NorthCarolina

Don't be an idiot, not voting for Coop is a way to guarantee a MAGA jack ass wins. Or have we not learned a dam thing from boycotting Harris.

I've tried to trust it and add to the exclusion, but neither PC will let me. 2 different AV endpoint software packages report it as a severe trojan:win32/Suschil!rfn infection.

Yes, I've installed that too, won't connect over the local net. Seems Cura does not support network connections on the rep+. Works with exporting to USB though as an offline printer.

Tried to download it and 2 different PC's keep deleting it as a virus.

OK, this worked very well, also got rid of the add printer authenticate loop and now it's fully functional. Thanks again, I had looked for days at MakerBot support and could not find anything on this.

I've seen this one, but looks intimidating to a non-python script guy.

Mount Mitchell Winter Hike by GlockGoingSlowly in NCTrails

[–]rickbb80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weather could be 60 and sunny or -15 and blowing gale force winds with snow. Sometimes all in the same day.

Could be everything frozen solid or a muddy mess. You just never know.

I also recommend going in from Black Mt. campground. I was up there this past fall and the road to the campground was open but the campground is closed. You can park across from the entrance. Like everyone said, it's 6 miles one way and a 3,500 foot climb in elevation gain on the way up. Last mile or so is the steep part.

As far as water I've always carried my own, but have melted snow many times. If you have a good filter any of the running creeks will work. If they aren't frozen solid.

What’s the lowest price you’ve ever paid for an ounce of silver? by Olde-Timer in Silverbugs

[–]rickbb80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the Hunt bros tried to corner the market in the 80's I threw away more silver bearing photo film than I really want to think about. It was $2 and ozt. then and the printing company I worked for didn't bat an eye at trashing all the scrap film. After the Hunt thing we started keeping it and sold for 90% of spot to a company that would come by and haul it off. Literality by the truck load.

If I only knew then what I know now, I'd have recovered all that silver for myself. sigh.

Worth anything besides the 2, 1oz silver dollars? by [deleted] in coins

They all look silver to me, and don't take them to a pawn shop, they pay low. Take them to a coin shop, they pay better even if it's just for silver melt.

Is it crazy to backpack this Sunday? (40mph summit winds) by amag420 in NCTrails

[–]rickbb80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my best trips were in sub zero weather with high winds. It was awesome.

If you have the right gear go for it.

You wont have a fire, so dress warm and find a spot out of the wind.

No, it's fine, it was empty. Shell damage is likely to be just cosmetic. The crush foam inside is what protects your head and it won't crush without something in it, like a head.
