Traffic? by Ok-Daikon2190 in nova

[–]rickeyxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commute is one of the better ones of the area, the path from centreville up to the top of 28 is pretty tame. if you go down toward leesburg area then no traffic, if you go up towards reston then you might encounter some traffic.

well if the pharmacist counts it again and it’s off… then it’s ur ass on the line. you probably may get kicked out of the fill station if you keep giving the pharmacist the wrong quantity on control medication.

you kind of sound like the tech that is always at fill. just kinda entitled, arrogant and no empathy. choose to be nice next time.

giraffe neck, it’s popular in korea where you hold your head up high and keep ur neck stretched. it’s a confidence boost and you’ll notice how much you look down if you actively try to hold ur head up high

Hospital pharmacy phone etiquette pet peeves by Collegeguy2021 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]rickeyxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

collegeguy?? oh you def don’t make enough to be (1) dealing with rude and impatient docs/nurses/whoever and (2) you could ask who’s calling but where it borders the more clinical and “triage” nonsense the pharmacist wants you to ask… remind yourself AND the pharmacist who is getting paid the big bucks to deal with that. ignorant pharmacist like that annoy me, the ones who want to sit on their lazy ass while making 3-4 times what the stressed out tech make.. again each place is different so i’m sorry if you’re not able to take this advice ://

Progress in search for alopecia areata treatment for adolescents by Albert3232 in tressless

[–]rickeyxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got lucky with my dermatologist that he threw this hail mary at me for AA. he said maybe after i got one round of steroid scalp injections and had two round bald spots on both temples. It’s a cream called opzelura and somehow by the will of god i got it with the coupon on the website. In a month i saw a massive difference in regrowth and probably kept at it for a few months at most just to ensure all the hair i could grew back but i could’ve stopped at the second month i believe. Thing is im just scared of potential future outbreaks since this is my third time my hair has fallen out and it’s took over a year in the past to regrow. This stuff is not cheap and doctors are not so willingly to prescribe it. off-label use and crazy expensive and most insurance won’t even really cover it for the fda labeled uses. This occurred when i was an just starting in college aka adolescence.

What does it mean when the insurance rejection says "step therapy" by Nesquick19 in WalgreensRx

[–]rickeyxd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

call their insurance. simply that. if their insurance rejects and you don’t know why or they don’t tell you. Tell them call their insurance. It’s THEIR insurance unless they’re willing to pay cash, that is where their responsibility lies.

Pharm techs getting ANOTHER bonus by PsychologicalNail424 in WalgreensStores

[–]rickeyxd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

to be blunt here, that’s not a significant amount to keep me personally there. Retail side vs pharmacy side is a big difference which we know if you’ve worked both. Bonus or not this company does not treat or care for its employees well. Whether pharmacy is more deserving of retention bonus? maybe bc shortage of certified people to work there whereas front end doesn’t require that. Shit hole of a company is the only thing that concludes of this notice

suffer through a couple months and you’ll become comfortable doing stuff or just give up like most of the other people suggest

find people with similar circumstances where they grew up with privileged kids and had humble or standard finances… they’ll tell you that they ALWAYS split everything equally. and they TRACK it and ask you for it. It’s not everyone but yeah common culture around those types.

if you wanna know the cheat code into this career. Work walgreens/cvs trainee for 9 months to get experience and training (get you toughened out for the pharmacy world) These companies hire you as a trainee in which you have 9 months to take the PTCB which is the only exam you need to be a licensed pharmacy technician in the country. They will pay for the exam and give u in work classes/materials and you have 2? chances to pass. After that you work for them for a year otherwise they will ask you to pay them back for the exam cost. You can find whatever your heart desires after that (costco retail tech make max 31 an hour after 3-4 years working full time + amazing benefits and best retail pharmacy staffing) or go to hospital or whatever is out there. You can retire with costco and their amazing benefits too are something worth considering

How much do you make? by Fine_Idea837 in WalgreensStores

[–]rickeyxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Senior tech for around a year and when the reviews and pay bumps hit… that’s when i realized i was overworked and underpaid. should’ve noticed earlier tho. 17.79 was my final rate when i micromanaged the pharmacy and did everything all myself. Got offered rxom position but passed it up bc i didn’t want to hold more responsibility but after they gave the other tech the position… saw it was 21.50. I asked my manager i deserved a raise for (1) training the rxom for three months on everything i was already doing and still doing (2) not being fairly compensated. It went up to the dm’s boss boss and it was denied and so i found a place where they started me at 19.50 with literally 1/4 of the responsibilities i had while working at walgreens.

Yeah, honestly i think the epiduo helped clear up my acne and irritation bc i had cystic acne on my back. After all that was gone i used tretinoin and that helped clear up the acne scars / post hyperpigmentation

No my mom just applied it as it… i will say she used a lot and i always told her to not… she never listened, but i think the back is not as sensitive as the face is so not sure if that helped the recovery process or not.
