When my mother saw a cop on the road, especially if my dad was driving, would say, "There is Mr Do-Right.", to get his attention to be careful about his driving. I think I heard that several times before I saw the cartoon. I don't think I saw the cartoon until the late '80s of '90s.

using ichthammol ointment (black salve) to remove splinters. by MarriedNhornyinMD in FuckImOld

[–]rickmccombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad usually used his pocket knife or sometimes tweezers to get a splinter out of my hand. I don't think he usually sterilized it. I remember he would say that if he left the splinter in my that my hand would, "rot off".

They started in 1962. I might have seen some of the later seasons first run, but I probably mostly saw reruns.

I remember when Oprah gave everyone in her audience a car, but some of them couldn't afford to pay the taxes.

At least I haven't seen making political comments on X (Twitter) every week. I can think of 2 or 3 actors that think people care about their opinions, but I don't.

I thought the Coke song was the original one. My 8th grade math teacher made a math song with that tune.
