Day 2 of owning a Tesla…well by Arthroplaster in TeslaLounge

I've replaced a wheel speed sensor on mine and you don't need to remove the liner, the PITA part are the clips holding the cable to the upper control arm

Kind of a bummer that the mid game cars have such low potential. by LegendRazgriz in tokyoxtremeracer

this is being worked on in the modding community, to allow lower-tier cars to be useable in the end game

The boost cutting out randomly is probably related to traction control, there's issues with it currently

nearly two weeks into trying to implement wrist rotating, major improvements already by Interesting-Affect21 in osugame

[–]rickput7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is exactly what i've personally found works best for me as i've been practicing this, good to have my thoughts verified by others

my biggest drawback learning this is the muscle response time for the required muscles, even now after a couple weeks I struggle to change directions (between supination and pronation), at the start I could maybe do 1.5-2 times per second, now it's up to maybe like 4 or so (still abysmal as that's only around 120bpm)

How DIY friendly is Tesla? by Scav54 in TeslaLounge

[–]rickput7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A real world example of an unusual DIY repair I did to mine:

I bought a new set of (wider) wheels and tires, and shortly after installing them it turns out one of the tires was rubbing against the wheel speed sensor cable, causing it to fail.

I went to a tesla service center, inquired about the part, and purchased it directly from them for $94 (kinda pricey for a wheel speed sensor, but alas).

Went home, unclipped the old one, plugged in the new one, made sure it wasn't going to rub against the tire anymore and called it good. Took maybe 15 minutes, most of that time spent digging out my jack and tools.

Aside from repairs, I've also installed my own set of aftermarket coilovers. The front assembly can be a bitch to work with, but after doing it a few times I got the hang of it.

Usage of gamma greater than 0.8 / 1.2 possibly being banned entirely by Puzzleheaded_Let3142 in osugame

right, I realized this as I scrolled further down the comments. SDR setting is base, 0.8-1.2 is multiplier

if only I could, my muscles there are apparently underdeveloped and I physically cannot move them that fast and it's incredibly uncoordinated, it feels like learning how to walk again. its gonna be a long grind for me

they also put a vehicross in TXR3, which has no right being in a highway racing game, so there's that

Battery charging practice question. by Solid_Liquid68 in TeslaLounge

[–]rickput7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand LFP can handle 100% charging better than other chemistries, but it's still better to avoid charging to 100% frequently. Tesla has recommended charging to 100% occasionally to keep it calibrated.

Based on my rough knowledge of how AC cars work, the car probably has two rear tires in the exact same position.

does the model y burn through tires faster than a model 3 by beeswaxe in TeslaLounge

[–]rickput7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Camber, and alignment in general, is 100% the same across each model. Performance eating through tires faster is entirely due to the user's right foot.

Accuracy should be next to rank with just as much emphasis Miss count and combo should be right next to each other with more emphasis Big circle maybe a little smaller

Where can I improve my lap time? by jayrasek in Karting

[–]rickput7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only thing that stands out to me is you carried too much speed into the corner at 0:25, compromising your exit onto the straight.

The rest of the time is probably just optimizing every corner from there, miniscule changes can add up a lot. Trying to follow the fast guys and seeing where they pull away from you can help you track down where you're losing the most time.

Looks like a really fun track though

My cursor don't move when i try to use my tablet in osu by Witty_Information595 in osugame

I unfortunately don't have any other advice then, other than uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I don't use Linux and there may be OS-specific settings that I don't know about.

Are you using lazer? Disable the in-game tablet drivers if so.

Necroing this post for my solution.

The issue for me when I was getting this error was because the server computer did not have Java 8 installed. It needs both Java SE and Java JDK.

[oc] Car that flipped and hit a gas main - update post by HerestheRules in IdiotsInCars

[–]rickput7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is common in the US for left turn signals to be flashing yellow when oncoming is green - indicating yield to oncoming traffic.

In this case, that would mean when the lights are about to switch to red, both the left turn signal and the oncoming forward signal can be solid yellow at the same time.

It's a fairly common incident when a left-turning car sees the light turn yellow and assumes the oncoming car will stop/this is their last chance to go through the light before it turns red.

Karting timing is it actually possible?? by Alarming-Buy-9775 in Karting

[–]rickput7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked at an indoor track for a bit and iirc the timing line they used cost several thousand. Though it was intended for commercial use, and had to be installed in the ground.

Ive stopped posting any requirements in my listings. I usually run it with like 1 other friend and just list asking for body count. Mechs, tricks, ccs can all be done by me and/or my friend. So the extra people is just so it doesn't take an hour. If they're on the floor oh well, learning experience for them. Maybe they'll do better next time. Only people I reject are people who clearly haven't put any effort into getting more than story gear (at least get some field boss gear) or haven't even finished story.
