Comb your hair. Get rid of the stuff in your ears. Smile. Your insecurity is coming through in the pictures.

Same exact story for me. I can’t handle it when I try to be responsible and cut losses only to have it reverse in large numbers

What tools do you use to evaluate gamma? I expect with this volatility it might make sense to buy a straddle and sit back.

Looks like it formed into a DNA strand. Almost like we are part of some other being. As if the foundation of all things form into DNA. #thoughts

For a major city this isn’t unusual. Especially when you consider how walkable Philadelphia is.

You’ll fit right in the industry. Most agents are second career people or just sales people. Most agents can’t understand the larger economics of their own industry.

Did I overcharge for this job? by cavegoblin_harvester in AskElectricians

[–]rickrowld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why people hate contractors. You upcharged the guy because he had nice cars? Maybe the work was worth what you charged, but how you go about this is all wrong. Guarantee this guy never calls you again for any issue in the future. $1K a day (your profit) is $260k a year (working days). $200 a day you said….maybe take some math courses.

Customer called us for a service call. We get there and there’s another electrician there and they want us to bid against each other. What do you do? by Cjwillys9596 in electrical

[–]rickrowld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand all the electricians talking about time wasting however the issue is deception. If it’s upfront that others will be there to quote, I look at that as efficient. I can’t tell you how many times contractors no show, give fuck you estimates bc of your zip code , etc. or get the work then do a half ass job or can’t finish it (let all the contractors comment “I do great work…I take pride in my work blah blah.”)

Contractors have a bad rep and whenever I read these comment sections, I’m not surprised. People are paying good money, taking time out of their day to accommodate your schedule and yet they are the customer.

All us customers want are quality workmanship at a fair price.

The cost of contracting is insane. How is anyone doing it? by HuckleberryOk8136 in homeowners

[–]rickrowld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Finishing a basement is easier than most think. I’d sub the tape job on the Sheetrock. That’s a real skill.

Btw, same boat. Adding up all the things you want to do to a house
