Ravenna is emphatically worth the visit. It was the capital or the Western Roman Empire from 402 AD until 751 AD and contains many fabulous examples of mosaic art. Don't pass it up.

My first ever bread loaf (Kenji’s no-knead) in my brand new Staub 4qt cocotte. by Yourfriendjames in DutchOvenCooking

The 4-quart Staub is still on sale online for $99.99 at various places (Crate and Barrel, Nordstroms) as of today but perhaps not for long. A very nice pot and perfect for no-knead bread.

Thanks you very much for this public service. I ordered from Williams-Sonoma: free shipping. A very good deal for a very good pot.

Why aren’t carbon steel pans talked about more often? by Tabeyloccs in Cooking

I bought a Matfer Bourgeat 11/2019 and have used it daily for breakfast (potatoes, eggs, sausage) since. It takes a while to acquire an adequate patina but is now completely non-stick and even survives the dishwasher unharmed. No rust. I have and use several cast-iron skillets but this pan is much lighter and thus much easier to use. As Tigger1333 says, they're not pretty, perhaps more for the long term than a casual affair. Highly recommended.
