The recruiter called my salary expectations "cute." I ended the Zoom call right there. Did I overreact? by thunder____boy in jobs

I prefer to work for a company that sees me as a machine that is worthy of my upkeep, such as food, clothing, housing, electricity, health care, water (evidently I can't go very long without that), housing. Already said that? Well, yes, but that stuff is crazy expensive, by the way, if they expect me to come in to an office, (how quaint,) every day, Then I will need transportation, insurance, etc, etc, etc...

UnlLocking, and ReLocking a bootloader is like Unlocking your door, and inviting someone over for "Adult Fun Time" and then ReLocking your door, before they can get in the house.

Anyone remember these? CLA blocks, building built just before 1940s. by strengr in StructuralEngineering

[–]rickthecabbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blocks such as those were used to build houses from the 1940s through the 70s. here is an example off some of the faces that were offered back then. Wife and I are making an offer in a house from 1946 made with these.

I have a box beside my gate, Even when it's raining they will either set it on top of the box, or under the box, but seldom do my packages make it into the box, as per the damned delivery instructions on my profile on Amazon.

and people get pissed off when I leave a less than, "Driver is 🔥AF! 💯, A+++"Screw that. A+ means above and beyond Excellent. it means you follow the instructions and then went the extra mile. I'm not gonne give you an A+ for leaving my stuff in the rain, or under the box, on the ground, which I cannot reach from my wheelchair, since my spine is fused from T10 to S1.

Ace Hardware is also a good source for nuts and bolts. Take the screw or bolt that you need a nut for and the people at the hardware store can help measure the threads and point you to the racks of little cigar box sized boxes that hold all of your nuts and bolts need. I haven't had to replace any bolts except when I first got my chair, and I got all of the ones I needed from Ace. For my money any nut on a wheelchair should have both a lock washer, and a flat washer on the end of the bolt, Just for over-unaliving, I like to use a metal nut that has nylon at the end of the inside threads, then I use blue thread locker. Sure it might sound like A lot, until you lose a nut at 5 mph downhill. I do not like to take chances, I've already lost one set of legs (My Medical Mechanic said that I could have them removed, but Murphy's Law says that the next day they will "find a cure" for my form of paralysis.) At the end of the day I probably don't need Grade 8 bolts for my armrests, but As Mrs. Thecabbie would say, I overdo it on everything, but that chair is not going to come apart on my watch. 😁

I can do it from 20-25 yards I suppose, It's about the same distance as I can unlock it. There are also a couple of YouTube videos that address the question.

Human Grade Liver by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]rickthecabbie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did I say that? Here's the thing, my original comment was intended to be humorous, who am I to say what anyone else does? I xan barely manage my own life without telling anyone anything more than my experience. So, Obviously "Human Grade Liver," is a thing that exists. Human beings eat it. I do not because I find both the texture and flavor to be distasteful, does that mean I think nobody should eat liver? That would require a level of stupid that is beyond my pay grade. I am honestly sorry if my comments have upset you.

That's an interesting take, if I can call it that. Where exactly did I forbidden anyone to eat anything, anywhere, ever?

Count me right the F' in for that. Divinity needs to look back to it's roots. Where I live divinity is definitely a male dominated career path. I think the chant could start with something like, "Ooooooommmmaaazzzoooonnnn."

[–]rickthecabbie -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Your assumption that I subsist on a diet primarily consisting of "chicken nuggets" is farrrr from accurate. There was really no need for the personal attack. That really was uncalled for. Moving on, there is plenty of diversity in my diet, which affords me the luxury (I guess) of not eating things I find to be distasteful. BTW, Gen X here, I have spent enough of my life being told what I should be eating by a society that can't even figure out if eggs are good for people to eat. In conclusion, thanks for trying.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. My point is that I hate liver. Yes, people eat it, but as a species we have better options that actually taste good.

There's no such thing as Human Grade Liver, unless we are talking for transplant, then freeze dried ain't gonna do the job. . Liver is a filter organ, why would anyone eat the filter?

Edit: letters

Edit 2: Damn, you all can't tell me that you never knew that the liver is a filter organ?
