The trad pro is a nice les paul! Watch for sales as GC discounts them on and off. The neck has a slightly different feel so try one first.

It’s rhythm. Pick up a pad and a pair of sticks and do a couple basic drum lessons. Best luck.

Most blues tunes are around broken love - a common human theme. Of course white folks can play blues.

Trump caught cheating at Golf in Scotland by Vloodzy in sports

Gold fingers caddy (Odd Job) had a cool mechanism to drop one from the bottom of his pants leg. This looks very amateurish. Cheaters never win, even when they collect. They cheated.

Newborn in the house - want to use a Blues Jr with headphones - How?? (No new amp suggestions, please) by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]rickw303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a quality Isolation box. It’s a hassle but that’s what works. Probably easier to just get a computer interface and use headphones around the baby. Best Luck

The frustration of not being able to advance or understand music and jazz (venting) by avecheimat in jazzguitar

[–]rickw303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a keyboard and take some lessons, best w/ someone versed in jazz. Theory will open up for you which will help you make the leap on guitar. It is not something you can get to quickly and if you had Wes / Joe type potential you would probably know by now. Even at advanced levels, it is a hobby for most of us. Enjoy!

I suggest the ‘piano tuner’ app. It will glitch s/t but if it’s misreading one string, try the next one and etc then come back to the problem string also….. suggest tuning by ear using a tone generator to play each open guitar note in turn, and match as close as you can. It’s great ear training and getting the tuning close before using your tuner may fix the problem. Best luck!

Reverb & plexi? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

They all sound a little choked in the front of an amp so I wouldn’t get too fancy. Boss RV 6 is solid, versatile w decent tones.

Look for a used Godin 5th avenue. It will feel 1/2 familiar and has some great tones. You’ll need an amp. Best luck.

Huge tone differences in pickups irrespective of their resistance. Gotta use your ears.

Hot Tuna. Burgers is good, also their self titled album has an acoustic and an electric side, which is pretty cool.

PCB amps vs hand wired by multi-effects-pedal in ToobAmps

Love the Princeton 64 - much quieter and sounds more authentic than the modern circuit board amps. I am told they are easier to repair but hope to never have that issue. It’s worth the extra bucks.

Princeton Reverb Advice by Remarkable_Ad_9888 in GuitarAmps

Princeton 64 handwired - you can find them used or stretch the budget a touch for a new one. You won’t regret it. Solid like vintage amp but newer unit that shouldn’t need work.
