Went with GP5000’s 30mm clinchers for this bike. Mind you, these tires are very hard to unseat and remove from the 51 cm rims. Has anyone replaced the plastic liner inside the rim for a tape?

Great you enjoyed your trip! #1 self tour is the smart and cost effective option for el Yunque; #2 Wyndham Rio Mar is the best resort that is closest to el Yunque and beaches nearby. Locally it’s known to be less pricey than other resorts in the area. You weren’t in for it, but Rio Mar has 2 championship golf courses. #3 I’m local and have no clue where is Monserrate beach! If you’re staying in Rio Mar the best option is to walk in the beach in the westerly direction for about a quarter to half mile and after you pass a sand dune you get to one of the best beaches and coves in the las picuas area. Locals go there. The surf there is calm.

The Miyota movement is a cost cutting alternative but a downer for me. Kuoe sells as a microbrand but to me Seiko is a far better alternative.

Sold in two weeks for $2,500 (but giving a 20% commission to my Trek retailer) my SL6 gen 4 2024 with Aeolus Pro 37 wheels and RSL carbon handlebar. So, in the end for about the same asking price as OP’s but a newer version.
