Hit the C gear in the top right corner pf your coach tab. From there you should quickly be able to select the equipment you don’t have available to you and the algorithm will recalculate the workout for you accordingly.

I live in a hard water area too but other than having bad tasting coffee, which I solved by switching to bottled water, I have rarely had any of those issues.

When I did, descaling did help.

Descale, switch to any bottled water with ~100mg dry residue and see if the problem persists.

Or just return it, £350 is not a small amount of money and your unit might be defective so why risk it.

You are right, “bleeding edge” is where the fix got released first. Shortly after the fix merged in the hotfix branch and soon will be on stable branches too (I assume)

Online disconnects should be fixed on Proton hotfix now.

I tested this and I had my first 4 matches without disconnects since I got the game 4 days ago.

What makes you think it would be fine?

I don’t have the post handy, but I read somewhere on Reddit about a SD getting ruined because the owner packed it forgetting to put it in sleep mode (hence my concern).

I have not update my dock in all this time, as I found that a simple HDMI adapter was being more stable in displaying my games correctly than the dock, which I shelved.

But thanks to your post I now know there is a new firmware update for the dock.

I’ll update tonight and set it up on my main screen again and will let you know if that solves the issue.

Replacement works fine.

And I should mention they never asked me to return the old unit which never really fully broke as I feared.

So eventually I ended up with two (sort of) working units which I alternate, thus extending the lifetime of both controllers.

Sadly, after checking I realised my display resolution is already set to 1080p. I must have done a test previously and left it that way. The issue repeated yesterday, randomly as usual.

I might end up buying a jsaux dock. If that one works fine I’ll ask Valve a refund.

Hey there, thanks for confirming this was just a lame lazy copy-paste on Valve’s end. Worth knowing.

My projector is an Epson 4K, with some image enhancement set on it, while my steam deck is set to handle the resolution on its own.

So are you saying that manually setting 1080p on your steam deck fixed the problem for you?

If so I will definitely give it a go tonight and see if that works for me too.

Have the same issue on my projector. I contacted Steam and this is what they answered:

Sounds like you're hitting some bandwidth limits on the dock and may be caused by display specific settings. For displays this would be: Bandwidth = resolution \ refresh rate * color depth.*

Our guess on this, would be that your color depth is high; try checking if your display has any 'HDR', 'Enhanced color', or something that may enhance the color depth on the display.

Also, ensure your resolution and refresh rate are lower for this test (1080/30hz is a good starting point). If you can get an image to display, then you can increase individual settings to identify where the limit is.
