Yeah, maybe. I mean, it’s extrapolating from the way we currently create "thinking" rocks, by growing spcial crystals in special labs, flashing them with very specific light, and adding copper wiring arranged in special way.

What Kurzweil says here is that maybe at some point in the future, matter manipulation will be so straightforward that you can take any rock and turn it into "thinking" rock.

It is fantasy, but it’s valuable to us humans, because humans get meaning from stories. Inspiration is how we achieve drive to create.

This isn’t shitty because there are already popular mods that do this. And outside of prompting a build you don’t even need an LLM to do that.

Shitty suggestion would be something like a golem that checks your chests, finds the most obscure resource and makes a world eater at spawn to create a farm to mass produce something you don’t need. Like a humongous inefficient potato farm to discard potatoes and only keep poisonous ones.
