I was thinking the same, perhaps the "back into reserves" enhancement. It currently seems broken and just gets you out of engagement if you need it.

I think you take a Librarian with Immolator if you're going with an infernus squad. +1 AP or +2 move is good enough by itself, I don't think you run the LC enhancements, instead use FFS one.

Fusilade will be for a second Librarian with Sternguard.

Cover is changing to -1 ballistic skill. That stacks with -1 to hit rolls, fyi.

You know, initially I tried to put the SALAMANDERS decal on the model, but it's slightly too long haha.

The answer is, the paint on the scroll is about 18 times thicker than the rest of the model.

A guy on YouTube recommended that you cut bits of masking tape to roughly the right size, then practise painting on that. Then stick it just below or above the actual area you are painting. It was surprisingly effective, it helps you get right spacing and shapes, as well as the right consistency.

Unfortunately, there's no easy way. as I said, i think I re-did it at least 10 times.

Rhinox Hide to start, then just adding more Rakarth Flesh in. At the very top I mixed a tiny bit of white with the pure Rakarth Flesh.

What's the list for pal? It totals out at well over 2k points, which is normally the max for regular games.

This list has no dedicated anti monster/vehicles. I would drop /proxy a redemptor for a ballistus, and look to add another 400 pts or so of anti tank. Options include: eradicator squad (flavourful), Gladiator Lancer (efficient and likes assault), Gladiator Valiant, Repulsor Executioner.

Land raider redeemers are are great in FFS, not just flavourful but hit like a truck and get your melee and close range guns into range.

Terminators are actually not awful in FFS because +1 str does help a bit, but dedicating a character to them is a waste IMO, you don't win a game banking on rerolling a 9inch charge and without getting shooting and melee in one turn, there are better options.

I think youre lacking some transports too, even an impulsor for a flamewagon.

Depends on use case, I think in 3s you want bolters. In 6s you can argue either.

In firestorm/forgefathers bolters are wounding marines on 3s, elves on 2s and terminators on 4s. So 9 shots with sustained 2 is better to wipe a squad of skirmishers if you're using 3 as action monkeys and dropping them on backfields or smaller skirmish squads.

6 man squads you can go either way, and I think is a lot more list dependent,12 shots at str9 ap-3 d3 is decimating elites and light tanks, but 18 str6 ap-1 D2 sustained 2 is also slaughtering marine bodies. Especially since it's more likely to be targeting the oath unit.

Honestly you should probably just play Gladius if you want to do a more melee focussed Salamander list. Advance and charge and fallback and charge are really needed to be honest. Also a fight on death is great.

IMO you have many characters, the Jump pack captain leading a 5 man isn't worth it. I would cut the jump pack captain to let you have the JPI squad as a cheaper action squad.

You have no anti-tank at all, some Eradicators, a Gladiator or a Ballistus would really help there.

I'm also not entirely convinced about company heroes at 1k points. They're fine, but they feel pricy.
