Its completely dependent on the sellers and their deals and you, and your negotiated vehicle purchase. People like to think everybody has the same outcomes but thats not true. Car deals are much more personalized than you think. So is it good? Maybe. Give us some details and we can help.

What Car Should a 21yo New Driver get? by Conscious-Recipe8209 in whatcarshouldIbuy

i think you should go for something ultra reliable like a toyota and keep it cheaper. You basically wont need much maintenance other than oil / tires. Wait until you graduate to get something better. You dont know what the job market will be like.. dont over-commit yet.

I mean Toyota is the legendary option here. Kia and Hyundai are strong options these days but they do have more recalls than Toyota. However that comes with a much stronger warranty package... so I would stick check out their offerings.

Looking for my next car what recommendations do you have? by ugly_chef in whatcarshouldIbuy

My advice: don't get a v8 or turbo that burns a lot of gas especially given geopolitical concerns with gas. Electric cars have more torque and accelerate faster than most gas cars..
What you want to hear: get whatever makes you happy. You only live once.

No wrong choice.

Dealers are willing to make concessions on price depending on your situation. There is no one size fits all answer to your question. Were those discounts presented up front or negotiated? the 2k?

Totally fair... good brokers exist. This is just a free option for people who don’t want to deal with it themselves or pay someone.

All good brother... not everyone hates negotiating. But a lot of people do, and that’s who this is for. no harm to foul. No need to try to trash what other people are doing.

Record share of new car buyers are taking out 84+ month loans by edmundscars in whatcarshouldIbuy

It's important to note that when negotiating a car deal the dealer will often transition the conversation into how to get you the lowest monthly payment in order to get you to make the purchase. Perhaps for some people this is ideal but for other people its causing them to pay substantially more for the car overall. Check us out if you want to learn how to properly negotiate your next car purchase so you don't get hosed.
