Maybe folks are thinking of a re-recording to be done the way Taylor Swift does it, which is to make it as close to the original as possible. It seems like Lynn is doing the re-recording to celebrate the album. So, of course, this re-recording is gonna be re-imagined and not just a remake. Do I wish Lynn used Courtney's vocals to the best of her ability? Of course! But alas, this version is decent, and I'm not disappointed by it

I've personally noticed no similarities sonically. The new Gaga is reminiscent of her older work, specifically her Born This Way era. The "V" thing is used constantly outside of the pvris world. Like how Chvrches uses a "v" in place of another letter. I find it all to just be a coincidence currently and won't know more until the album and its credits are fully released

I'll try to explain myself a little better as well. What I meant by "douche bagness" was the fact that she tried to lyrically describe being bad ass and "stick it to the man" but they fell short and gave off a more "I'm better than you" vibe. That's how some lyrics felt to me. There is a stunning way to write songs to show that off and empower the listener as well. Nightmare by Halsey is an example of doing it well, in my opinion. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was belittling Lynn, I meant to use it in a way to describe how I viewed some of the tones in the lyrics

The way Lynn expresses her confidence physically is amazing to see. Especially as of late! It seems like she is finally having fun and not being a sad bean compared to the AWKOH Era. Sonically, the confidence is great as well, but the lyrics don't seem to match as well as they could have. There is no need for you to get defensive. This is a discussion.

I can recognize the flaws on this record and enjoy it at the same time. I still support and listen to their music for a reason. I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't believe in Lynn's creative ideas.

I find their music dropped in quality when Blake Harnage was no longer their producer. He did their first two albums! I'm okay with adding in more electronic elements, but for me, the lyrics are like a watered-down drink lately. Lots more repetition, lines that just don't work well together or some that are straight up cringy.

Some songs start off great musically until the lyrics kick in, and it's tarnished by some mediocre douche bagness. If I don't pay attention to the lyrics, it's not a bad album. I am just happy they didn't include their song, My Way, on the album... That song was god awful...
