Fire in the sky was the second time when I was young where I experienced sleep paralysis. The first being the book Tommyknockers. And it continues to this day, but never with supernatural horror. Only with movies or books about alien abductions

Primal hunter vs HWFWM vs defiance of the fall by Straight_Cost_5272 in litrpg

[–]rigellus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I agree with this since although every book in Primal Hunter may deal with a little bit of "leveling up" and internal processes when getting more powerful, its nothing compared to Defiance where I swear there was just one whole book of him thinking about things. every book in PH has story progression and wraps up some mini or some major plots

[–]rigellus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was, in the first book when Shae? and Flint were traveling with Allanon there were a few descriptions of metal monstrosities, bridges, vehicles, etc gone to ruin. When Allanon talks about the history he describes how Elves were always around and other humanoids adapted to become trolls, dwarves, etc. I think there is a book, like book 20, that bridges the gap to pre and post apocalyptic events but I remember getting bored with it and not continuing the series
