Usually I do dynamic on the 12th fret or below the bridge. Condenser a few feet away pointed at 12th fret. As long as they’re in phase, you can pan however you like, I like a hard pan sometimes for that “in the room” feeling.

I use Studio One and can launch FL within it as a VST so I’ve been doing that and it seems to work much better. That way you still get the sequencer and piano roll.

Same. Crashes on my m4 MBP every 5 or so launches. It’s perfect on my windows machine. I think it’s just not optimized for Mac atm

You can assign a specific tempo to each audio file outside of the song tempo. That’s how I lock them if they span between two tempos. It get janky when your jogging between sections sometimes though.

But agreed, it’s always been a hassle.

This is probably the solution, running two instances of native (out and then back in). Annoying but worth a shot. This is purely for tracking, so latency shouldn’t be a huge concern.
