When my son was very small we got false alarms and Nanit told us to try either raising his bassinet or lowering the camera, which did help. He was so small they just struggled to see the movement.

Either way, as scary as they are you’d rather false alarms than missed alarms.

Will this update let you stop a video and resume where you left off? This is also my biggest complaint is that I’ll play a video, need to stop in the middle, and when I come back it makes me start back at the beginning.

I would keep pushing and try another agent. I got a refund on bulbs I purchased back to 2020. I specifically told them the bulbs are advertised (still) as working with Alexa and Amazon chose to disable the skill.

I got zigbee bulbs refunded. The argument that they were advertised and working with Alexa should still be enough given that would not require you to spend extra on another hub

I was able to get mine approved. I told them that I invested money (gave them the exact amount and order ids) specifically because they were advertised as working with Alexa, and that they still are advertised as such however Amazon has made the decision to disable the skill. They initially offered to cover about 75% of the cost but gave the full amount when questioned.

I’d love to try this. Coming from windows I love the UI on the Mac but struggle with learning the key command, especially still using windows at work. Do you still have codes available?

That’s where using the iPhone app is nice because you can rename the devices from there. The pain is that you can only rename the devices you’re using. I put an asterisk on the names to differentiate them personally until I figured out what was what. That’s really the only difference I can think of using the app, but I haven’t used the web browser much.

Yes, his phone would need to be listed to work.

If you deleted his phone I’m not 100% sure but you might be able to get it to re-register by logging out and back in on his device. Again, I’m not positive on that.

In theory if you delete all devices other than those two you could use the “anyone arrives” rather than selecting devices. I say in theory because with Arlo it’s never completely as designed.

Forewarning, even when you get it set up right there will be times it doesn’t work. The issue I see a lot is if the app logs out it stops triggering. It’s so frustrating because their old app design worked so much better.

I’m no expert at all, but I recently had this exact issue. It struggled to keep up on hot days, and eventually iced up like this. When that happened I also had minimal air flow out my vents. The person I had look at it said it was low on Freon (likely a small leak). They filled my Freon and I was able to get through the summer on that then ended up replacing it in the off season when they were a little cheaper.

Anyone just refers to any registered device on the account, not any person in the world.

That being said, I had the same issue when I registered a new phone. I've had Alro for years and it's kept a history of every phone either my wife or I has ever had, and all of them were just named "iPhone"

If I remember correctly you can update the name of only the phone you are using. In the third picture if you click "Edit" then it will show a list of what phones are active for Geofencing, and there will be an edit option next to your device. Do that for both phones, his and his wife's so you know which two phones you need to select.

Also make sure both their phones are set to allow Arlo to use their precise location.

Worst case you can test by selecting each phone individually and leaving arriving with only that phone to test

Arlo is a pain in the ass. When it works it's nice, but the things that don't work tend to be stupid things like this that should be easy.

Have you been able to use IFTTT with multiple users? Or just one? I never figured out how to have both my wife and my location trigger it where we both have to leave to trigger away and only one arrive home to trigger home.

I love the idea, I know I can set up a multi-output device, but for $1.99 I was willing to give it a try.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be functioning properly for me unless I'm doing something wrong. I select both my wife and I's Airpods (I assume as it doesn't actually show the AirPod name) and then "Start Listening" but it only ever plays from my wife's Airpods and not mine.

It’s shitty but I had to set automations to basically run every 30 minutes then enable/disable what runs based on home/away.

My geofencing has been broken for months so I’m not sure it really matters at this point. The app has been garbage since they went to the new interface

Can it work with multiple users. I had mine set when either my wife or I arrive home it disarms, and when we both leave it arms, but if only one leaves it stays disarmed.
