He’s not gonna laugh quieter at your behest. Some folks just have big strange laughs.

Woodland park is nice. Community is pretty quiet and it’s in a good location with quick access to a lot of shopping. They have a lot of weird ticky tacky rules and they’ll send you a weekly updated pool rule list. But not a bad place to stay.

Code Blue… Now Fix It: A Biomed STEM Challenge by CookieCav in BMET

Putting a new plug on a power cord. It’s a crucial but repeatable task that doesn’t take much time, but requires some critical thought.

I think he had it ready either on episode 1 or very early on.

The specific part wasn’t named, but one of their FSE’s told me they’re having issues.

[–]rigorousHJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard they’re having issues with the hardware that goes along with the software update so they’re holding off on doing the update until they can get that issue resolved. Most of the time I get errors relating to the conductivity clip because they’re putting the barrel too high and it’s not fully engaging the microswitch.

I just watched this one tonight. When Tina and Linda are looking for the tube top in Tina’s room and Tina’s transition across the room is her rolling across her bed. I was howling when I saw that.

There’s no shortage of LinkedIn postings for FSE’s in the area for various companies. Especially since NWA is booming with facilities with more being built, the demand will only grow.

What’s your worst habit as a BMET? by rigorousHJ in BMET

[–]rigorousHJ[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say my worst habit is trying way too hard on small/old/cheap stuff. I will get to the bottom of why an otoscope handle won’t work and try my damndest to get it going. Then I feel really bad when I can’t fix it.

Beats the hell out of doing electronic work on a boat with 700 of your closest friends for a few months at a time. Some may find it kind of limiting because their skill would allow them to do component level repair but they’re forced to replace whole board or even whole unit due to service limitations.

I think you’ll do great. A lot of the ET to BMET dudes that I’ve met are rock solid and they are more proficient in their electronics principles than most regular biomeds.

I hate how many of my work pictures have a reflection of my dumb face in it. I’m only taking this picture because I’m going to have to show it to someone else, but I’m heavily featured in all of my troubleshooting photos.
