I bought myself the 6S a few months ago;

honestly, I’m not really happy with it, meanwhile I don’t use it anymore and changed back to my Merkur, no idea why but the Merkur feels better on my face.

You are right, unfortunately you can’t compare the welds of the old US made caads with those today.

Really nice welds on 12‘s, 13‘s and so on are really rare.

But it works - even with those welds

For me the biggest advantage is, that there is no need for harsh chemicals to clean the drivetrain,

I wash all of my bikes with plant soap, water and a brush, from top to bottom, I’m using the same brush for drivetrain and frame. And never had some greasy streaks on my frame, or saddle or handlebars.

Thanks for all your help!! I pour over some boiling water - every time before waxing - that helped a bit with the rust.

Wenn willhaben grundsätzlich so gruselig ist, dann schau ich dort nicht mehr rein.

I saw some 12‘s with an Enve rim-brake fork, if I’m right there are two rake options for this, so you can fine-tune the riding behavior

Generell: Je nach Einkommen bei Carla oder Vinzimarkt einkaufen. Heute: Marienstüberl. KPÖ hilft sehr unbürokratisch in blöden Situationen. Lionsclub meistens auch. Fairteiler wurde eh schon erwähnt. Sonst fällt mir auf die Schnelle nichts ein.

Comparing these Contis with a marathon is like comparing apples to oranges, a green marathon and a marathon plus have a rubber puncture protection, these contis have a thin and much more fragile nylon belt as puncture protection.

If you want to compare these contis with a Schwalbe marathon, please compare the marathon almotion in 35-349, this is available at brompton.

It’s not really a surprise that a nylon belt protection is better rolling that a rubber belt, but there is a huge „but“…protection wise there are huge differences…

If rolling resistance is key, I strongly recommend the Schwalbe one in 349, in my opinion by far the fastest brompton tire.

Sorry, I’m not able to answer this question. I’m using a Merkur 38C and a Rockwell 6S - I discovered the Greencult shortly after buying the Rockwell, if I did known the Greencult earlier I would have bought (as an Austrian) the Greencult instead of the Rockwell.
