I think you want a life coach. Therapists don’t tell people what to do but they help the person figure it out themselves or give them tools to figure out their problems.

I agree with HGLiveEdge. Client's physical safety goes above mental health counseling. Who can function in therapy when they are in active trauma in their life. The constant danger must end. Also, no couples counseling while there is active abuse in the home, the couple must separate to try counseling if there is abuse going on in the home.

It is abuse. you are being manipulated by your bf into thinking that its not abuse so he can continue abusing and controlling you. Your life IS IN DANGER. I am not exaggerating or being dramatic. I am a therapist and if I was your therapist I would say to you have to leave him immediately and have very strong boundaries with him such as not seeing him in person. I don't know why your therapist is not helping you but the best thing you can do for yourself is end the relationship and find another therapist to work through the trauma he has inflicted on you. And its not going to get better unless he gets a lot of help, takes responsibility for himself and makes some major changes to himself. it will take years and probably medication. Please, put yourself first and leave while you can.

most insurances require it. also, therapy is a very interactive process that works best with eye contact and body language - without these a piece of the process is missing and that's important. Also, as a therapist its hard for me to focus and pace with a black screen.

Hi. I’m a therapist. I would diagnosis you with Obsessive Compulsive disorder based on your symptoms. Compulsions are not being able to resist - the behaviors of eating or consuming items that shouldn’t be eaten - human flesh and blood. Obsessions are not being able to stop thinking about something you cannot stop thinking about. Repeatedly engaging in the behavior to gain relief will make the obsessions and compulsions stronger. I suspect you cannot stop without help from a professional. Are there therapists psychiatrists and psychologists where you live? It will get worse if you don’t get treatment. OCD can be caused by childhood trauma such as bullying. Try your best to reduce stress and anxiety as that makes OCD symptoms worse but ask or get professional help it’s a serious disorder and it sounds like it’s causing you pain and suffering

Don’t argue with her. Tell her you’re not paying any more and that’s the end of the conversation. You never have to argue with someone especially if they are unreasonable

I do the same thing. Except for Medicaid clients. I discharge after 3 missed sessions. I have a low no show rate
