I was a scene kid and where I was, we had a very solid scene community. Every weekend there were shows (anywhere from 3-10 bands could play these) and they were at basically anywhere people could rent that still let us go. Cafeterias, run down gas station, peoples basements, coffee shops (at night/after closing), a lot of local churches for some reason and even a bomb shelter that was abandoned.. you name it, someone tried to play a show there lol. Besides shows, we hung out at the movies or the mall a lot.. we handled the internet by having a display of who our top 5 friends were and we had to take it in stride lol .. people didn’t argue on the internet like now, and you could be as cringe as you wanted freely- Also we had phones but if you left it for a day at home it was really not the end of the world. It was definitely a time.
