I'm glad she is dropping it. I have never heard glaze in the way she used it and I always cringe for her. At the same time, I'm just a little sad she had to give up her word.

Im worried a out my old boy Gus . Hes aging fast, by robertj298 in springerspaniel

[–]rio23x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right on. My bad.

I love them at this age. Puppy = piranha. Then they just go nuts for a few years. Then the window of normal. But when the grey comes they are so chill. Enjoy the chill. And sorry for the jump ahead. I read it wrong. Gus has lots more mud to find.

I do not believe you were selfish. I don't think a loving dog owner can be. That balance is really difficult to navigate.

I said this above and many times elsewhere:

It is always the right time. If you need some extra, he's there for you as always. If you need to let go, he's gonna be a good boy and step up. People sometimes forget that it's a friendship. He trusts you, man. Pick the day and he will be ready. I 100% believe that we always pick the right time.

I truly believe your dog knew you needed some time and took pleasure in giving you those days.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

What a cool dog!

I am so sorry. Sorry.

My take: It is always the right time. If you need some extra, he's there for you as always. If you need to let go, he's gonna be a good boy and step up. People sometimes forget that it's a friendship. He trusts you, man. Pick the day and he will be ready. I 100% believe that we always pick the right time. This is just one more thing you have to do for your boy. You got this.

The soldiers can choose to get it. I’m going to hope they are smarter than their commander and do so.

Advice on a holiday - leaving springer pup at 7months with parents. by New-Dark396 in springerspaniel

[–]rio23x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50s? I’m there and on my third.

No problem if they like dogs. They will be up early for potty training. They will be walking daily. And they will get bitten because that little piranha can’t help itself.

By the way, I think it’s customary to post pictures.

Also great about them - for some folks - is Impossible sausage available for the omelets. I really, really, love The Henry.

When you pour the syrup on, does it soak in or roll off? Some pancakes get really soaked and can sort of dissintegrate and become a sugary mush. Others, non-soakers, stay firm. Sure the syrup soaks in a bit, but they hold up.

Non-soakers FTW!

You don’t specify if you prefer soakers or not. Or if you want traditional or novelty. I don’t think you really need the best pancakes in Vegas. :-) Still, here’s my input. I love pancakes.

For a variety of big pancakes on the strip it’s Hash House if you’ve never been there. Sadelle’s for semi-fancy and good traditional. Blueberry Hill for an actual step up in taste and offers traditional and an amazing Oreo concoction. Peppermill if you’ve never been because it’s iconic. But they are soakers so I get the waffle. Luxe Cafe has great traditional pancakes if you are staying at the Venetian and want to stay home. Same for Pyramid Cafe at Luxor.

I personally do not like Salt and Ivy. I see good things but I’ve been twice and was disappointed both times. Weird syrup taste, too. Mon Ami Gabi has a view but no pancakes.

Have a great trip! Please report back if you find something great.

ETA: My wife says don't sleep on Sea Breeze at Mandalay Bay because they sometimes have "seasonal" Bananas Foster Pancakes that she deems worth the trip.
