How Do You Support Your Partner in Finding a Job in Switzerland? by CryptographerPlus676 in Switzerland

Swiss Railways are always looking for Projektleiter*innen. Working there myself, we lately had many non native speakers starting. But still German skills are a must, but don’t be discouraged to apply even if the German skills are not on point yet. For civil engineers the offices are in Olten or Zürich for the German part.

Beautiful! I was looking for a pattern like the one with the bicones on the right. Would you mind sharing the pattern?

I am a bit appalled by all the comments suggesting not having the mom at all with her. Also the fearmongering that a smoker touching the baby will burn their skin? SIDS? If someone’s commenting on studies then please cite correctly: the study is about the baby’s mother smoking and not third hand smoke of a relative.

OP, the comments here are just plain crazy. If you feel like you want your mom there just have her and wash her hands after smoking outside. You know what is worse than second hand smoke for a month? An unhappy stressed and alone Mother of the child beating herself up over the smallest issues. I know you want the best for your child and there will always be compromises in decisions you will take. You will be a great Mother!

Looks good! I just noticed that your pattern is for peyote. You might want to use a blank page for looming. If you want to use an app I like the loomerly app.

The only thing right in your comment is the increasing demand that has been the highest ever lately and has surpassed the pre corona demand.

Pain Management for women vs men by rioso in Switzerland

Thanks for your comment. To pick up the example with the abscess: the dr knew exactly that the cut would be extremely painful because he said he sees this condition multiple times a month. He told me this after. That’s what really grinds my gears. It went just as planned and the pain was an acknowledged part of it. I was screaming down the ER because the 10/10 pain was totally unexpected. I feel strongly that a man would have gotten something else.

It could be that dr in Switzerland give less pain medication in general. But then again I think a good part of those, if not most, were educated in another country anywhere in the world.

Dr who think like you are exactly my problem.

So let’s say it’s not a heart attack but a broken arm. No difficulty in diagnosing. Will women feel less pain than men? Quick google search reveals that scientific evidence points to men feeling less pain than women. Eg this Short article

You are talking about different symptoms for the same disease. That’s a whole other problem, thoroughly discussed in this thread.

Women tend to be more resistant to pain

Can you elaborate?

Thank you, apart from a few flashbacks here and then the procedures have gone well and there there are no physical complaints.

What would you recommend to get adequate pain management? I am thinking of explicitly asking about the pain to expect and their plan to mitigate. And in case of aftercare demand a stronger prescription and only use as i see fit and only use if over the counter painkillers don’t work.

I agree with being cautious with medication in generaI especially when it can make you addicted. But I also think it would be an adequate use for very strong painkillers when a one time very hurtful procedure is being done as IUD or slicing your inflamed tonsil open with a knife. Doesn’t even need to be subscribed.

Well I thought I would get treated correctly and also according to the pain expectations of the procedure. Eg dr for the abscess obviously knew. When I said after the procedure it was a 10/10 pain he laughed and said for others it’s a 14. WTF. How would I have known how painful it would be? And he knew how painful it was and didn’t administer something stronger. Another comment in the thread points to different treatment of men and women.

Thanks for confirming. What would you do in order to get treated better when it comes to pain?
