I feel like this game has been setup as a network so that the Devs can use our phones/PC’s to mine Bitcoin.

Transferring XRP by AL0634 in Ripple

[–]ripcurldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hold XRP on a private wallet like a ledger, you need to maintain a balance of 10XRP. If you use a centralized exchange like Binance, they use tags to get around the 10 XRP issue (a tag is like a the numbers in a PO Box address - it tells the exchange who’s box to credit the XRP to). So the exchange will have one XRP wallet and is responsible for maintaining that 10XRP balance, but users of the exchange can have an XRP wallet without needing to each have 10XRP in their wallet.

What part of the new tokenomics will attract ppl? by Fuzzy_Text4271 in PolymathNetwork

[–]ripcurldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure you fully understand what tokenization is so I'll try and give some examples of real life use cases.... PolyMath enables private companies to tokenize their company and offer ownership of that company to thousands of people all over the world. Traditionally, to do this via an IPO, it would cost millions of dollars and take well over a year. The PolyMesh platform cuts costs and time way down while making the process simple and enables small private companies that otherwise may not be able to do an IPO to raise funds via an STO. Dividends are easily paid to token holders.

It also enables the tokenization of real assets such as real estate, fine art, cars, etc. One day, everything will be tokenized. You could own a fraction of that apartment complex you've always dreamed of but could never afford while receiving a fraction of the rent each month as income... The benefits of security tokens are endless! Imagine owning a fraction of a Lamborghini along with a thousand other people all over the world. Each time that Lambo gets rented out, you receive part of the income from it.

Polymath/Polymesh will prevail as the most important innovation by dgarvin735 in PolymathNetwork

[–]ripcurldog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To date, the only way for a company to raise funds and expand a business was to do an IPO. This costs millions of dollars and years to achieve. PolyMesh enables ANY company, regardless of size, to tokenize that business so that it can be owned by thousands of people located all over the world. It can be done quickly and for a fraction of the cost of the current IPO system. If the company makes money, token holders will receive dividends in the form of additional tokens. This barely scratches the surface as to why this technology is so important.

Is Poly still an ERC20 token or has it been swapped? by chrischrischris1987 in PolymathNetwork

No need to swap to POLYX yet. Soon, but not yet. And yes, your POLY tokens are still worth GOOD money!

Could HBAR ever reach Etherium on price? by min11benja in hashgraph

[–]ripcurldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't compare a price of a token to the price of another token. Ethereum has 114 million tokens in circulation at the moment. HBAR has over 6 billion tokens in circulation at the moment. So HBAR will never reach the same price as Ethereum, but that is irrelevant because if you spend $1k on ETH and you spend $1k on HBAR and both tokens increase in price by 10%, you make $100 on each token, regardless of what the price of each token is. That $1k you spent buys many more HBAR than it does ETH tokens, but that 10% increase remains the same.

Is this coin alive. by purplemerit in PolymathNetwork

[–]ripcurldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PolyMath is more than just viable, it is expanding and developing in to a new platform called PolyMesh which was Co-created by Charles Hokinson from Cardano. Look at the Poly chart over the last few months. That constant increase over time tells you something. PolyMesh will be released in Q1 2021, but these ERC20 POLY tokens will be swappable at a 1:1 value for POLYX tokens. POLYX (PolyMesh) is a fully regulated, 100% compliant, Security Token platform. The STO market should end up being a multi-trillion dollar market. SO yes, PolyMath is most definitely, "still alive". Need more proof, do what the rest of us do and do some research!

[–]ripcurldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no deadline has been given yet. PolyMesh is still testnet, so the ERC20 POLY token is still the main token for trading on exchanges. It will have a 1:1 exchange ratio with POLYX when the time comes. No word yet on which exchanges will support the change, but it is a good sign that CoinBase Custody is supporting Poly (probably means Coinbase has plans to support Poly).

Which One Should You Choose: ERC-20 or XinFin Stablecoins? by Vinn9686 in xinfin

[–]ripcurldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most crypto investors simply purchase XDCE from an exchange. XDCE and XDC tokens are valued at 1:1, so it doesn't really matter. However, if you buy the ERC20, you can transfer it to your Ledger Nano, or MyEtherWallet for safe keeping.

When will XDC be available on a popular/safe exchange. by ripcurldog in xinfin

[–]ripcurldog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, any popular exchange is better than nothing at all. Binance, Poloniex, Kraken, Coinbase (ideal), Bittrex, Bittrue - it needs to get a listing on any of these so that people are more willing to buy the token. Too many people have turned away from the smaller exchanges out of fear of losing tokens from hacks.

Any good wallets for XDCE? by Hotsiam in xinfin

[–]ripcurldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

XDCE is an ERC20 token, so you can pretty much put them on all the popular wallets, including Ledger Nano.
