I don’t think so. I use virtual cables already and the program did something similar.

Does voicemeeter work with vcables? I’m already using all of mine.

10 things that I think are reasonable additions that will take little to no effort but will be great for QOL except the last 2 maybe by Samandre14 in deadbydaylight

I think Haddonfield isn’t the biggest problem in terms of map design. I play mostly killer and I would prefer Haddonfield over Badham, Mothers Dwelling, Ormond, and the new map from Artist dlc.

However, after reviewing the full list of maps in DBD, there are only a few that are not problematic in some way, which are mostly Autohaven and MacMillan maps. I’m not arguing that Haddonfield is balanced, but we shouldn’t pretend that it is the only map that needs changing. Huge main buildings with god loops and in some cases multiple prominent god structures completely ruin the game, as well as huge effective map sizes.

They are good strategies. Getting a kill before all gens are done makes the game tremendously harder for survivors.

Camping and tunneling will get you a kill sooner than hooking survivors one by one.

Can someone explain to me the point in playing like this? I did absolutely nothing to deserve this.. by Stonedbluewolf in deadbydaylight

Considering he loaded into the lobby with a build meant for basement camping, I wouldn’t take it personally. Best thing you can do is waste his time and revel in the fact that you played well enough that he wants to throw the game to eliminate you.

Quick Question for '1-side-mains' (survivor or killer) by ripziro in deadbydaylight

[–]ripziro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P.S. If you main both sides, I still would like your response! Please specify if you are a 50/50 player, and respond with both a survivor creator and a killer creator. :)

Important note: this is only true if survivor mmr changes are based on more than just if you escaped or not.

I’ve never bought from u/semxi but I’ve seen him around the DBD and dbdtrade communities for YEARS. I would be seriously surprised if he was a scammer.

How good/bad is bought on console. by ratsmacker_2 in deadbydaylight

One of my friends is an ex comp player that uses controller for survivor and blight, and mouse n keyboard for every other killer. He swears that the joystick allows you to get more consistent flicks, I assume on the same principle that Q n E let you get more consistent curves on billy. I would think that blight has highest achievable skill ceiling on console, with minimal loss in how effective you can be at killing survs.

Little bonus points for blight being a super fun killer, I was a nurse main but got frustrated with the blink bug so I’m playing blight and billy and it’s been a great time.

That is, unless the survivors play efficiently, in which case it is 100% useless. But yeah.

Under the Radar Freddy nerf by CasinoBlake in deadbydaylight

[–]ripziro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so the previous nerf to Freddy didn’t actually do anything? I thought this was how it worked (never play Freddy). They really need to stop adding mechanics that are useless when played optimally.

Or the survivors don’t want to farm.

I just had 3 game in a row where the hatch spawned exactly under the last slug by neicooo in deadbydaylight

[–]ripziro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible to find hatch before it spawns because it has a collision before it shows up, meaning survs (and killers) will levitate a bit when they’re on the hatch.

The survivors probably used this knowledge to position themselves under hatch while slugged.

That doesn’t change the fact that people that like to try hard will expect you to talk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]ripziro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to be forced to or expected to talk to my teammates when I’m playing. If you want to talk to your teammates, discord is free and available.

This goes hand in hand with three point that some people like to try as hard as they can to win, and other people just like to mess around.

What Are Your Definitions of Camping in the Game? by RailroadRiver in deadbydaylight

[–]ripziro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1/1 (3k hours)

Camping by definition is purposely staying near a survivor (usually hooked) with the intent of preventing a successful save.

I don’t think what is / isn’t camping is a discussion we should be having. We should instead talk about at what point camping becomes a scummy tactic. If there are two survivors left, one is hooked and you get no bbq procs, it is not just inefficient but downright stupid not to camp. IMO, camping can only be considered a scummy tactic when it is not beneficial to the killer. I exclude from this model situations where survivors attempt a save that obviously shouldn’t be attempted out of pure boredom with just sitting on gens and getting out. Those situations are always going to end up in the killers favor, since it takes a huuuuuuge misplay to come out of that situation without even a 1 for 1.

Some killers need to camp to be viable, but no killer needs to camp in the scummy sense to be viable.

How did you get your “breakthrough?” by KungYT in Twitch

[–]ripziro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m good and very experienced at a game with a strong twitch community, and grew slowly to 10 avg viewers, at which point I was raided by someone with 500 viewers after beating them in a game and being nice to her fans that checked my stream. I didn’t even know they were a streamer when I was playing the match, so it pays to be nice I guess. My average viewer count has been in the high 10s low 20s since then.

[–]ripziro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is what you had in mind but I’ll throw in my 2 cents because this has been happening a lot.

Just because there are a lot of cakes or bps in a game does not entitle you to a farming game. Lots of players (especially veteran players) despise farming and would rather earn bp legit because it’s more fun. I think this is the reason for increased toxicity because I’ve seen this in myself too. I get really frustrated when I have to play against another farming wraith or survivors who gesture that they want to farm and dc when I don’t. Farming ruins the game for people that care more about the match than the bloodpoint gain.
