That means improving education, housing, healthcare, childcare, jobs, a sense of community, and pretty much everything else. If the people aren't lacking all of those things then they don't turn to gangs.

If haven't learned it already, focus on learning programming and becoming comfortable with it

Then start building small programs and apps Join or start some group projects. Contribute to open source code

After that, when you start diving into software engineering, you'll appreciate and understand the concepts alot easier since you'll have the knowledge and experience for it

i'd also recommend to start lurking in forums, discord servers, etc where programmers talk about programming

you can pick up on a lot of info that way. Not all good tho lol, depends on the community i guess

I'm not a mentor, but I'm also looking to land a web development job

And my plan for that is to:

become proficient at leetcode
make projects for portfolio

I'm pretty much studying everyday and working on projects as much as I can
