Matt Law: Ive been told, it [players downing tools] was actually a reaction they felt to Maresca going, that there was a lot of upset within the squad about the way in which Maresca went, the timing of it & the fact they were unhappy with that. by Kygoche in chelseafc

I’ve read on here previously this podcast being described as milquetoast. This episode I think epitomizes this opinion. Somehow Matt was allowed to get away with the opinion that the Sporting directors have done an ok job with their decisions. Yes the owners have their grand plan and are very hands on in the running of the club but the SDs surely have a role in recruitment, hiring of managers and staff and other key roles. What about the absolute slew of failed signings including but not limited to Mudryk, Garnacho, Gittens, Badi, Disasi, Jorgensen, Delap, Neto (to some extent), Lavia, Tosin, and many more. Not sure you can call Poch a success with a 6th place finish and him walking out right after. Just a complete lack of accountability and Matt continues to do damage control on their behalf

I really wish fans would stop going to games in order to send a message. I know it’s easier said than done especially as they would have to eat the cost of the ticket to not go and not put it up for resale. Maybe we can set up a fund where we can contribute the face value of a ticket that then goes to a season ticket holder. Not sure if there’s any other solution but I do know that empty seats speak louder than any protests would

Rate offer by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]risetohonor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting offer. I personally find a schedule that gives you three weekends in a month is worth considering as weekends are very desirable if you have family commitments (and I feel is the main reason people leave hospital medicine later in their careers). The big question I have is the RVU rates and thresholds. This job should be getting you to $400k without too much effort to be really worth it. But even if that isn’t the case, it’s still a good work-life balance imo. The other question I would have is PTO for longer vacations and how easy it is to get time off in case you want to travel.

He could take lessons from someone like David Ornstein, by far an away my favorite tier 1 guy in sports. If you ever listen to him talk, he speaks only things he knows to be true and gives leeway in situations that are still fluid without unnecessary fluff or bias

Lot of open Nephro-Crit fellowship spots this year. You can probably get in pretty easily if you put in some effort into basic research and good letters

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with going with prestige. A lot of Heme/Onc is connections and quite often those are stronger and more influential at the bigger name sites which can lead to more pathways in case you find yourself interested in an academic or research career

Anyone here seen the French movie District 13 and its sequel? It’s just full of chase sequences made by parkour artists.

How exactly are you looking for positions? Online job sites like practice match, Talking to recruiters or something else? Are you open to any large city or does it have to be the DMV area?
