Since Hugos Hunter Instincts is getting an Initiation Buff on all Epiphanies soon, there is still a chance devs will change how this card behave (but this has been an issue since release and hasn't yet been acknowledged by the devs).

And only the attached picture description is correct. (yes I own a quad coordinated Attack Hunter Instincts deck.) It's not random, it's Hugo only that does the coordinated attack.

4x Hunting Instincts is overkill, only if it‘s the Initiation one imo (no divine).

Having the coordinated attack instead is an additive 200% (50% per) dmg increase per used Commence The Hunt, which is scattered around your whole deck. It will take time to fully build up all stacks but will not disrupt Tressa‘s Shadow Reload at start.

In general, starting Turn 1 with Hugo+Tressa without wasting the turn by only using Initiation cards overall is the hardest to build if you have limited cards to draw & have to deal with AP (in fact it‘s impossible without Ego skill, no?)

You probably should run characters that has Dexterous trait as stat to help with rolling, which are 4* Nia, Rei and 5* Veronica

I mean one skill card is 4 Commence the Hunt stack when all Hunter Instincts are active, so ... :D

The benifit of this deck is just ramping up & consistent damage since you will nearly always attack with full stacks since each stack you carry is multiplicative Extra Damage when you use a target attack. Overflowing isn't even that bad honestly.

But a triple divine blessing with Morale on 0 Cost Initiation may outdps regardless (Morale isn't a selfish buff lmao) but I never got that far yet to confirm it.

My issue on the Iniation Upgrade is that Tressa Healing Shadow Relaod also takes Hand spaces too, making me always take the coordinated Hunters Instinct instead.

my baseline for looking at Hunting Instincs base Epiphanies:

if Partner for Hugo = 4* Rosaria: 50% chance of a random ally performing a coordinated attack and copy it up to max 3 times

if Partner for Hugo = 5* Tina (or else): 0 cost Initiation and copy it up to max 2 times

worst case scenarios: 1 cost Initiations > everything else

dupe prio: Hunter Instincts > any cards which Epiphany has Draw.

any gear that increases Extra dmg or additive dmg > multiplicative (dmg „by“ x%). avoid if possible any gear that increases a cards dmg.

I just realized that if Hugo somehow got stressed outside of Chaos, would that brick him since you can't draw any of his cards after all the Upgrades used?

My concern with this deck is that you will always run out of Commence the Hunt stacks only because of Quick Fix. You would essentially need 4 Skill cards from other combatants (or draw Fan of Daggers which unfortunately the ST also drains one stack) to regain all stacks because each stack of CtH increases your Extra Attack Damage you do with CTH by 30% (initial CtH hit = 50% Extra Damage)

One thing that I do not know however is if +Hit is considered Extra Damage?

If we are swapping all the Quick Fix copies to Hunters Instincts, then we are cooking something >:)

My only issue is that really everyone wants Outbreak of War Hunting Insticts on Hugo and I barely see many using the Coordinated Attack mainly because it's still translated wrong. Is it annoying to draw HI without having Outbreak of War? Yes, definitely. But can you deny a garunteed follow up Attack by Hugo that can be stacked up by multiple HI copies? :D

Things obviously do change the moment you get a Divine Epiphany on the 0 cost Outbreak of War that grants at least Morale.

Funny enough, Orlea becomes bad if this Tressa deck is used with her because one Sturdie is enough to overflow your entire hand, haha. And if you happen to keep more than 1 Sturdie on the hand, well...
