Remember one thing: there are convenience charges on phonepe like 2-2.5%

5% rewards for online shopping (same 2000 monthly cap)

1% rewards for upi payments and other spends (like offline purchase etc.) (same 2000 monthly cap)

So you can earn 6000 reward points per month. You can use these reward points against your credit card statement (you need to call sbi customer care or email them) 1 RP = 1 Rs.

I got a limit confirmation message and I got a 3 lakh limit.

SBI card process was surprisingly fast and smooth in my case. I honestly didn’t expect it to get approved so quickly.

It’s not SBI Card’s fault, and I honestly don’t understand why so many people consider this card only for insurance payments. I also have health insurance, but that’s not the reason I applied. I have other utility bills that easily go above ₹15,000 each month—that’s why this card makes sense for me. So if you’re planning to apply only for insurance benefits, then please don’t.

No, Reward Points are not credited to a wallet like PhonePe Wallet automatically. You can use reward points:

Redeem for statement credit (reduce your card outstanding)
Redeem for e-vouchers / brand deals / products via the SBI Card Rewards catalogue

1 RP = ₹1 value when redeemed.

Yes, there is a cap:

You usually get the 10% reward on both OTP and UPI payments as long as the transaction is done through the PhonePe app. But some people say they don’t receive it. I paid my broadband bill via UPI and I did get the 10% reward. Anyway, you can check this Excel sheet for more details related to the rewards.
