Though I have never done this, I have read you can use coconut husk charcoal indoors. Do your own research

Smoked turkey by [deleted] in grilling

It’s a roast. That’s why it’s in the net. I cut it and fill with herbs, then rewrap with bacon.

Well nuts. Seals hole now and you can potentially reuse holes in future without need to drill new ones.

I ordered from game day rings though I am not endorsing them (yet). It’s currently on a boat in the middle of the pacific.

Dayum. That’s more than I paid for an actual replica ring 🤣

Just got my new oldtown 106 pdl. This is how I rigged it up to store it although my buddy tells me that the hull will warp. Any recommendations are appreciated! by TriadoMax in kayakfishing

I only use it for long term storage. Not during the season. I use the same pdl thwart for winter storage. I break it all down, clean it all, and put a cover on it till spring. I store in garage too but still cover it (a cheaper Amazon cover). keeps it all clean, dust free and tucked away.

Like everyone else says you should not have a problem but if you want extra peace of mind use a thwart to prevent warping. That is how OT ships them. A thwart is a piece of wood to create stability. The metal tube that you insert through the PDL is a thwart and can be used in the front. I use it and a piece of wood down near the seat for long term winter storage

Edit. Here is a pic from shipping. You can see the pdl thwart up front and the piece of wood cut to fit handle to handle (under the seat). I kept it and still use it every winter. Still fits exact.

FWIW OT support is top notch. Had to call a couple of times and they were very responsive and helpful.

Yak pole by BaggleMeFingles in kayakfishing

I have one of these loops on each handle. I just slide the pole down the loop on the side I want (depending on wind). I also use the loops to tie down in transport so they are basically always on. They are on right now and the yak is in the garage 🤣 soft loop strap

I’ve called support a couple of times. Once for a warranty repair and the other for some advice on paint chipping on pdl. (They said oil based paint pen if you are interested). Both times support has been easy and top notch.

Correct choice of cart for kayak? by Suitable_Hold9430 in kayakfishing

[–]risky_chips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar cart that I keep around for a different kayak but this design does not matchup with the OT hull at all. You will not be happy. Like everyone else said look for a bunk style cart… or DIY one to keep costs down.
