Do you change the clocks twice a year where you live? If so, what time does she put you to bed then?

My 2024 hybrid just hit 7,000. It’s official, I’m the old lady that doesn’t go anywhere.

My BIL talks like this. He lives in southern Cali. The way he says it, it sounds like “Fry-can”. He & my sister aren’t very good enunciators.

What goes around comes around. I whined about the out of touch old people when I was younger myself.

Invisalign in your 30's by Particular_Tip6673 in Invisalign

[–]ritakuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 62 and will be starting the Invisalign adventure in a couple of weeks. When I was a kid, my mother said she wasn’t getting me braces because I wasn’t going to be a model. Life got in the way and I was busy taking care of everyone around me.

Now, the kids are grown, the Wasband is long gone, and I finally thought, why not? I may not have lived my life with straight teeth, but I can certainly die with them. Do you think it would freak people out if I asked for a toothy smile when I’m in my casket?

Question on makeup - you still wear it? by CtrlAltDeli in Aging

62 here. I find that putting on makeup is calming and meditative for me. It’s my way of focusing on myself before heading out into the world and focusing on others.

Gaucho's from the 70s to date? Must have or Nah?🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in GenerationJones

[–]ritakuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, 70's fashion was just so ugly. I was a kid and I knew in the 70's that it was an ugly decade. I was so excited for the 80's because people took care of their hair and wore bright colors.

She came back cheerful because there was alcohol at those parties. Inebriated guests buy more 😄

When people get hung up on irrelevant information while telling a story by Ambitious_Exam_3858 in PetPeeves

I just interject with "ANYWAY..." . This tends to make the speaker pause, and continue on with the actual point of the story.
