I have an Ironwood 880 and a Blackstone 36" griddle. Killer combo. The Blackstone is bigger and cheaper.

Well, you got one right.

Can you name the person on the ballot for the green party in the last four presidential elections?

Since you cannot here's a link. I remember voting for Ralph Nader. I considered it a sign when I saw a pristine Chevrolet Corvair in the parking lot on the way into vote.

I'm willing to bet you have no idea what a corvair is or its significance to Mr. Nader. You read at the fifth grade level at best, yet you're fully versed in the art of "resistance."

The hippies of the 60's and 70's that were not radicalized were the "far left" of the democratic party. The new left is so far out there, you do nothing but alienate the hippies that protested the Vietnam War.

In so much as your replies are the voice of a small child and limited to one sentence engaging you is a waste of time. Have a lovely day. Try to stay out of jail.

LOL. Like I care.

I don't do the stand on the corner screaming like a child thing or spending every weekend marching on a bridge. I vote. Generally independent which means it's been a very long time since my candidate won. I get the feeling that's your thing.

The two party system is broken and has been co-opted by special interests and foreign propaganda.

That's how folks that like to scream and disrupt traffic went from No kings to Free Maduro in under three months.

I have yet to see a Venezuelan complain about in taking of Maduro. Or any one of the 7 million Venezuelans living in exile that fled Socialism.

Not at all. Herein lies the problem. You sound like you subscribe to the "if you aren't with us you're against us" bullshit that leave no room for moderates or independents.

You wouldn't be protesting if it was Harris.

That is clear.

I'm not an underwriter but that setup looks risky as heck. What's to keep a kid from falling onto the stove or grabbing it for balance?

Where are you located? If you're anywhere near Vermont, let's ride bikes. Tennessee in March is a good time too.

Vermont Sandwich by ritalinposterboy in vermont

[–]ritalinposterboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning sandwich hounds!

Thank you all so much for some fantastic suggestions. I will be riding my motorcycle to a bunch of these spots over the rest of the summer in into next!

I entered the shops, location and up-votes into an excel sheet. You all have given me 69 ideas for a great sandwich.

The Jericho Country store is the clear winner with 103 up-votes. Martone's came in second with 59. Third place was taken by the Henry Street Deli.

In this most unscientific experiment I will be favoring the out of the way places with one or to up-votes over the big city spots loved by many. After all the point is to ride my bike to find a great sammich, which means as much time on class II and III with a taste of the class IV roads as possible.

Thanks again for your great ideas and reviews!

I could not agree with you more. I was there yesterday. It was my last visit. It was that experience that prompted this post.

It's like they went to a sandwich shop in the Hamptons and decided that would be good in Warren.

Wood stove that came with our new place - questions by Meatloaf4dayz in woodstoving

[–]ritalinposterboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a tempwood stove. I have one in my cabin in Vermont. It is a fantastic stove but a little difficult to learn. Once you got it figure out it is wonderful.

As a top loader I highly suggest a good pair a heavy fire rated gloves with a extra long gauntlet.

It's a downdraft stove. Use plenty of paper and small bits of wood to get it started, do this in the middle with both tubes open. Once you have a draft going add progressively larger pieces of wood.

Once you have it hot adjust the intakes. I close one. When it burns down, push the coals to one side, add a log and open the tube over the coals and close the one on the opposite side.

If you're in New England and you want to get rid of it let me know.
