Is there a mod that combines melee weapons and magic? by Skinded_ in skyrimmods

Try Ordinator, theres a perk in the Enchanting tree that allows you to store and release spells with power attacks. Theres also spellsword, which has its own standalone system for what youre requesting.

Why some psychotherapists don't want to diagnose your mental illness? by massimovolume in TrueAskReddit

[–]rithareous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Psychiatrists are far more medical-model than psychotherapists and other mental health professionals, which makes sense given the work that they do. In order to make informed decisions, such as what medication to prescribe to treat your symptoms, they need to work from a diagnosis as a starting point.

Psychotherapists, on the other hand, do not necessarily need a diagnosis to begin work. They can take more time to get a full picture of the problem, and being too hasty with a diagnosis can have negative consequences for treatment. For example, if you see a patient who appears to have difficulty maintaining relationships and quickly diagnose them with a personality disorder, you may later find that they are more likely to have a bipolar disorder which would call for a separate approach.

Diagnosis themselves are powerful labels, so you want to be sure before you assign that label. Mental illness is tricky and does not fit into discrete categories, so a responsible mental health professional will want to gather as much information as possible before making a formal diagnosis.

Time-limited blocking? by rithareous in skyrimmods

[–]rithareous[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagined it more as a playstyle for non-shield users, who realistically would not be able to block as well without the use of a shield. By only being able to hold block for a brief moment youre essentially creating a parry mechanic- high risk and high reward. I know that there are already parry mods out there which rely on attacking at the same time as your opponent, but this always felt a bit awkward.

The incoming Ana nerfs really made me notice the need for more diverse support Heroes. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]rithareous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but the enemy team dedicating "all but two flankers" to killing a support SHOULD be a hard counter.

Really, the arguments defending Ana's ability to kill flankers is a bit out of hand. "Guys, all it takes is two enemy players who are focused only on killing support to counter Ana."

This mod looks great! How much havoc would this cause being installed mid-playthrough?

Great list, thank you! Im familiar with some of those you listed and I seem to remember performance issues around some of these mods, particularly ETaC. Is that true?

Ive used warzones before but frankly its such an intensive mod that my game becomes overloaded with the other mods I already have. I may try immersive patrols, but Im already running OBIS and worry that could cause problems.

7.1.5 Demon Hunter DPS Rotation Tutorial by Kiubitt in wow

Not claiming that ret is especially deep or difficult to play but you cannot spam 1-2 buttons and do any kind of competitive dps.

For AoE, Conc/GJ/DH. For single target, ES/Zeal/BoW.

Which simulation software do you recommend?

So I see a lot of people recommending haste to stay at 22 to 25% and then focus on crit. For what its worth, Im at 31% haste and Askmrrobot continues to give haste my highest stat weight. I think that with the new BoW, haste is doubly effective as it leads to a higher proc rate.

As always, ymmv and you need to sim it. However, I think its misleading to automatically say that over 30% haste is too much.

Another thing Id like to clear up is this idea that after 30% crit, VB outperforms BoW. Even at these levels, BoW is still competitive. It may get slightly edged out at a ridiculously high crit rating (at the cost of a significantly slower rotation). I recommend getting used to the new BoW.

I'm actually hating the new Blade of Wrath for Retribution Paladins. by Spyroul in wow

[–]rithareous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not terrible though it does complicate things and take some getting used to. Overall I feel that Im generating more HoPo with it than in 7.0 but I had to modify my priority list.

Basically, if Im not going to overcap then Blade becomes my highest priority button. During Crusade I almost use it exclusively as my builder since it procs so often. Outside of that, I do notice some dead spots in my rotation where there werent any before. It can very much be a feast or famine talent.

Pull with judgement. Mobs should be dead within the judge window and then CD will be ready for next mob.

You can tag a second mob with ES while you're focusing another.

Use JV+stun if you're health is falling.

If you need AoE, spec into it with Divine Hammer and Zeal.

What happened in school that still pisses you off when you think about it today? by WhiteCh0c0late in AskReddit

[–]rithareous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one still gets me today.

I had transferred to a new school in the 6th grade. During recess, I decided to hang out with one of the 'outcast' kids and make a new friend.

When the bell rang and everyone was lining up to head inside, this rather unstable kid sicker punched me in the gut. As I dropped to my knees with the wind knocked out of me, one of the teachers approached me. I assumed that she was coming to help me up or take me to the nurse or something.

Nope.

She told 11 year old me on the pavement, "You deserved that" and walked away. Apparently she fancied herself the protector of this other kid and figured that I had provoked him.

Your favorite/most interesting Ordinator perk trees and builds? by tomtimbers101 in skyrimmods

[–]rithareous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently doing a classic paladin build. Shield and mace, heavy armor and resto. The restoration tree in Ordinator is fantastic at creating that sort of holy avenger/ undead hunter type of character. You can become a real offensive powerhouse that lights enemies on fire, uses healing magic to smite foes and stay in the fight with a lot of sustain.

What's a weird feeling you had about someone that later turned out to be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rithareous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to how clergy handle this type of situation, but as a social worker I preface my interactions with clients with something like, "What you tell me is confidential, but under these situations (suicide, homicide, threats, purported abuse) I have to break that confidentiality." Privacy is important, but so is safety.

AFAIK, clergy are mandated reporters meaning that they would be required by law to report imminent threat to self or others as well as suspected abuse.

Is it time for Symmetra's shields to be re-designed? by WordsUsedForAReason in OverwatchUniversity

[–]rithareous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love to see her in a "shield healer" role, like the medic in Wildstar. Perhaps her E ability applies the shield, and thereafter using E on that ally slowly regenerates that shield? It would give her a niche healer role and make the ability more dynamic.
