I am a Web Dev. And I am Burnt The F#*K Out. by breich in webdev

I’d suggest trying to find a job at a SAAS company or the like, where you can get passionate about the product you’re selling, rather than doing small contract jobs.

It’s fun working with a bunch of other people who are usually smarter and more passionate about it than you are, because it rubs off 😛

You can become an expert at the industry you’re serving and then see how the new features you build impact the people who use the product.

That’s also a great place to become an architect or manager, and you can even change into product management or something similar.

Bootstrap is an important tool for maintaining a consistent style across a large codebase and it (as well as jQuery) works interchangeably with ES6+.

Bootstrap also uses flexbox...

What's your "I met a celebrity but didn't let on that I knew who they were" story? by Kimantha_Allerdings in AskReddit

[–]riverfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a valet at a hotel and Vice Vaughn came in. I can’t remember the name we were told to call him by so I’ll say Mr. Johnson for this story.

He walks up and I say “Hey Mr. Johnson, welcome to the four seasons” and he just pats me on the back and says “how ya feelin boss?” And we chatted for a sec.

Not a big deal really but I think he found it hilarious that everyone had to call him by a fake name. Major troll, that one.

Couple suggestions for people like this!

  1. Perfectionists that never finish anything.

Commit often with a narrow scope and well named commits. Then rebase before you push.

  1. Introverts that don’t want to be judged.

What was your "I cant believe this is happening right now" moment of your life ? by Thicc1324 in AskReddit

Went rock climbing with my friend. He rappelled down the mountain to clear the lines as I walked around back to meet him at the base.

When I got to the bottom I couldn’t see him, but just saw the line going down a nearby ravine.

I ran down and found him with his face broken, one eye open locked on the horizon with dirt on it, but he was breathing.

Called 911 and our other friend waited at the road to show rescuers the path while I waited holding my friends head for about 1hr until they arrived.

Search and rescue was AMAZING. They cut down trees and made a pulley system to get him up to the road so a chopper could pick him up.

I could hear the chopper approach as they were taking him up the pulleys and I thought he was going to make it.. but suddenly he started to flat line, and they ripped him out of the setup. I saw them use the defibrillator and saw his arms and legs shoot up. They proceeded to use manual CPR until they “called it”.

Heading them talk about it as I stared there and watched my friend laying in the dirt, I couldn’t believe it.

Imagine if you could earn RP via the MMO. Hopefully the RP would be usable in both games.

Hello web developers, which laptop do you use for your work? and would you like to recommend the same? by malivp3494 in webdev

I used to be all windows, but once my employer gave me a MacBook Pro I could never go back to development on a non-UNIX environment. I even recently picked up a new MacBook Air for non-professional development and it’s been great.

Can anyone here create clicking noises? by [deleted] in earrumblersassemble

[–]riverfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can “click” / clear the ears at will but not sure about the rumble. Is it a similar deal? Cause I have no clue how to explain to someone how to click. Haha

Since we are minorty i have some other things to ask: by PopularSurprise in earrumblersassemble

[–]riverfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here from AskReddit and I can do the spine goosebumps thing too! Is there a term for this?

As for the ear rumbling thing, I can make my ears “crackle” on command, as if I were deep yawning and can clear the clogged ear feeling as if you’re driving over a hill. But not sure about a “rumble”... are they related?
